For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello moms! My son is in 282, and his letters didn't arrive here (SC) until yesterday. It seems I've been almost the last to receive the box, form letter, and personal letters but I'm assuming that's because I live so far south. By chance is there a R*(PERSEC)here? Our sons are bunk mates and are also going to Groton together.

Hi, I don't know if Ellen or NavyMomLiz wrote this but I am brand new and my son is in 282 and his last name begins with R and he is going to Groton...
I am worried he hasn't gotten my mail because they changed ships from 2 to 6 before we realized and we sent all our letters to 2.
Do you know if they forward mail?

Hi, just got my call, from my SR! So Happy to hear his voice again, we were just both crying Happy Tears, his doing well and he said they have good food lol. Hope u guys get ur call too.

We just got our call also :) He sounded great!!
They pulled all four of his wisdom teeth Tuesday...but, thank God, he had no complications. It was sooo good to hear his voice!

281 & 282 both got to make calls today. :) Who all got calls? I got my call from 281. My SR sounded great. Said boot camp isn't too bad. He failed his first fitness test pretty bad but did real good on the first written test. He said RDCs are working with him and he is improving quick with the fitness part. It was so nice to talk to him! They're headed to ship 6. Mail from Ship 4 should forward over easy enough. He said he's gotten close to a few fellow SRs. Last names start with Gr, Bu, & Wi. If it could be one of your guys please send me a message so we can see if they match up!

My brother is in 281 and his last name begins with Gr. I'll try to send you a message if I can figure it out. I received a call as well. He seems to be in good spirits. He mentioned in his letter and his call that there are a lot of recruits straight out of high school that tend to chatter too much and do not address the petty officers or chiefs properly, so they are having to drop and do push-ups on a regular basis.
