Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Hello Ladies! My name is Karen, my son is also Div 822. Its been three weeks today since he has left. I have gotten one letter so far. I have  written him every day some times twice. I am in panic mode because when I got the official letter telling us about graduation, the address was different from what my son sent last Thursday? The Division and ship is same but a different street? Im praying he gets the letters...When he ever said, I have not answered any of your questions because I have not gotten a letter yet. My heart is so heavy.

Hello Bj, thank you so much for reaching out to me!! I feel better now. :) Now I need to figure out how to navigate this site! LOL!! I don't have any friends yet....

Hi Karen! welcome to our little family. :) I was going to friend request you, but there are too many Karen's for me to know which one you are. If you go to members and search Joanie_FL, you can send me a request. I will poke some to see if I can find you. Looking so forward to PIR. I am staying @ Residence Inn. I have received only one letter to date. Hoping to have another this week.

Chat with y'all soon!!1

maybe next week the call will come. they have to earn it. I have my phone glued to my side as well. I don't want to miss the call. My heart would break if I did.

Hi!!! My son is also in Division 822...I received a letter on Friday & was so excited until I read it.  I cried all the way through. He is suffering from many different things...homesickness...smiling...laughing...and talking..Ugh. He was assigned a PO position & the next day lost it. sigh My heart hurts for him.  But as one mom put it to me 6 more Fridays!!!!!! Ive made my reservations for their PIR but have not made air yet just to be sure...Was hoping for a phone call today...Hopefully soon!!!!

Hi Momma C. Welcome! I too have received just one letter, Counting down the Friday's as well. All my travel arrangements are booked. I am so excited!!! PIR can't come soon enough.

Thank you Joanie!!!! Kleenex ready & a proud smile on my face!!!

Hi Bj....Im hoping for more upbeat!!! We are from Northern California and he went in as a Air Rescue as well. I met Momma D when our boys swore in together....She introduced me to this web site & it really great to see that they all seem to be having similiar experiences. PO is Petty Officer.  They are assigned jobs by their RDC & from what my son said & what I have researched they are called PO's .

Good morning ladies (or afternoon, as the case may be depending on where you are!)  Hope everyone had a nice, relaxing holiday weekend.  I spent Sunday at the lake with friends having a BBQ and it was a nice change of pace for me.  I sold my house recently and have been packing and packing and packing.  Honestly, I didn't know we had so much stuff!  It took me 3 days to get to the bottom of my son's closet and I haven't even begun on the clothes in there yet.  =)  Oh well, at least it keeps me busy.

Like most of you I am waiting for another (more informative!) letter - but my BIL who is a Col in the Army assures me that no news is good news and that not hearing from him is better at this point than hearing from him, as by now you only hear if there is a problem.  So chin up ladies - not hearing means they are hanging tough and standing strong.  But of course, we knew that, given the quality of character that our children have given their chosen course.

Glad you were able to have some down time Melissa. We all need a break!!! I labored all weekend with my to do list. But, I made a huge dent!!

That is true, no news is good news. I feel so bad for these kids getting sent home after being @ bc for a few weeks.

Hi Everyone,

Just sitting in my living-room watching tv,its raining hard outside. I'm now officially an empty nester, as they call it.My daughter moved out last week, the last one. Now its quiet without them, but my three dogs keep me company.

Time goes by so fast,I don't believe all three left.I have to write another letter to my son, that will keep me busy for awhile ,since I'm not working.

I booked my hotel at the Courtyard Waukegan Gurnee and rented a car.Now I have to find some clothes to wear lol ,like my son will care what I'm wearing. I'm sure he will look great in the bright white uniform.

I saw online that they will sell a dvd of the graduation.the PR will have an option to buy it,if not the family can.I cant remember which part of the site i saw it on ,but at least we know its an option. That would be nice for the moms that did =nt attend.

Sorry I rambled on ,have a great day!

Not sure if anyone knows.

I know there will be signs for each div..

But a friend told me that we need to look for our Div flag at PIR.. Has anyones SR told them what to look for?
