Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 197 and 198

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Goosebumps! Jtsmom

Hi moms,

I got 3 letters today!! So nice to hear from my son. He got his wisdom teeth pulled this week. Anyone else's get pulled this week?

My son had all four pulled on April 22, he wrote on April 26 and said stiches had already fallen out. He's in 04/198.

I got a second letter from my SR yesterday. I'm in Texas. It was much longer than the first but I gotta say it made me sad. He was excited to get his NWUs for sure and says he's doing good but he was very sentimental. He was saying thank you for being the best mom ( im his step mom raised home since 7 and he's 22), he was saying to tell his little brother that he was sorry for leaving him and also to make sure his little sisters (2 yr old twins) don't forget their big brother. He was saying he can't wait to see us at grad. He sounds homesick:( . I know it's extremely common and normal but he sounded so stoic in the first letter that I just thought maybe he would do fine being away. Ugh! I know he's ok but this momma is sad today:(. He was going to church again so that was good. I know they need to grow up and be men. I know u ommmy's understand! Ship 4 div 198 by the way

Hang in there Proudmam1.......those letters can sometimes melt your heart. I wish we lived closer......looks like Saturday is my letter day! I'm going to be there as soon as the post office opens. :)

Thanks!:). I know we are all feeling it. Just have to let it out sometimes. I'm hoping we get calls this weekend!!!
Just got a call!!! Best 10 min. Ever ... I had so much to say and couldn't remember a thing :) He said he is doing good and getting a lot of workout with all the IT push ups...He passed all tests so far..

I got a phone call today from son!!!!! So excited to hear from him. He sounded so good.

My son tried to call me today but was at work. I did hear a voicemail of him though. He told his brother he is on target for graduation and he did not eat much the first week they were rushed around so much. His brother did not tell me much about the conversation, they talked for 20 minutes. He told me what he said in two sentences! Guys! He may be the oldest in div 197! He is a good guy, goes to church, so if anyone talks about the old guy that is probably my son!

How old is he?  I know there is at least 2 of them that are 23

My son told me that there was a 35 year old ...

My son turned 35 while there! Is your son in div 197?
