Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 810 and 811

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

My son is in 810. His last name starts with an S.

Is it just me or are there far more moms of DIV 810 on here than Div 811? Wonder why??

I agree Liberty! It seems like almost everyone in here is 810, I wonder where all the 811 supporters are?? :)

Hey everyone! My name is Brian and I know I'm joining this group pretty late with graduation 18 days away (wooooohoo). So my sr is in div 810 and after doing a little research I realized that generally this division is for special warfare. I know in one of my first letters he did let me know that he was going to stay an extra 5 weeks because he passed his pst and what not. I thought that was completely normally, but now that I've done a little research that extra 5 weeks is pre buds/s training and then after that he will go to the only buds/a training facility in California? I guess that all makes sense since he's going to be navy diver. I was wondering if that all sounded about right , and around how much time they get after graduation before they have to do pre buds/s. I definitely would appreciate all the feedback and if guys have similar situations ? Have a great day :)

Hi Brian- That may be right. My son is EOD and he will stay there for a three week class...then off to Florida. Perhaps the Divers take it for five? The thought is that they all start right after PIR weekend. I have read that sometimes they have to "wait for another class" like there are not enough of them to get started right away....I assume that California is Coronado where SEALS train...You can look up a mom on here named lemonelephant and she will always be able to answer any specific questions that you have. Also you can google Navy Diver and should be able to get their training information. I looked up EOD and sent it out to relatives so that I would not have to keep repeating it over and over! Haha! So...Welcome! Better late than never!

Hello Brian our SR is Navy Diver and will stay for a 6 week program in great lakes.

then to dive school in Fl

Brian... can you tell me your SR's initials?  Wondering if it is possibly PM?

Hey there TMD thanks for the info. Are you completely sure that the dive school will be in FL. I was reading that navy divers need to go through buds training and that's in California. Maybe if they are doing different jobs they won't have to do buds?

He goes through Dive Prep in Gl directly following PIR and is there for 6 wks then goes to Panama City Fl for Tech. I do not believe divers go through Buds like the Seals do.

That makes me feel a lot better. When I was researching the extra training pre buds/s came up for navy divers and I got confused. Thanks :)

Maybe they will do some of it in Dive Prep .I def know that its 6 wks. in Gl what is your SR initials?

Our boys will be training together it sounds like. are yoyo going to the meet & greet ?
