My husband actually got our kid's birthdates wrong on a copy of his orders once...at least they let yours call to verify the SSN!  I wish my husband had retired military; he got out after 10 years when Clinton was closing all those bases.  My SR was 6 months old when he separated.  You will love being a military wife...I did.
It will be.  My husband flew with his plane frequently (he was a B52 Crew Chief) so he was gone at least once a month, but once you are on a base, you will have a huge support system.  My kids were all still small when he was in, and I loved all the kids in base housing they got to play with, and the nice parks to go to.  I don't know what Navy bases are like, but they can't be that different.  It's definately different having a husband go through this rather than a son.  I'm supposed to let go.
Kholnss, don't fret. Same thing just happened to my SR due to medical disqualifer and yes jacketfan24 they are already under too much stresss and so are we!!! lol But check out the undesignated group, friend me if you can't find it and it answers alot of questions.  Sometimes undes gets a bad rap but like everything it is what you make of if and there are some pretty awesome opportunities that come with it as well :)  Ladies I got my letters today and in case you didn't know I love this boy to death.  First off he said that it is their women that get them through and wanted to stress this meant moms, wives, fiances, girlfriends and even sisters-he compared us to guardian angels. He insisted that I join Ship 9 Division 360 because his friend's mom made it and there were probably other women I could talk to lol!! Really enjoyed that.  He described their division as one big proud dysfunctional family of 80 tired guys and that they were all pulling each other through.  Keep sending letters, they are reminders that there is life still out there :) Despite the new job bit he sounds good and I'm so proud of him and all the other guys. They are going to be great girls <3
No mail from my SR again today.  1st letter came on Wed, Second letter last week came on Thursday.  Maybe tomorrow for the next letter???  So sad when you go to the mailbox and no letter.  Did anyone else get letters this week?  Not griping, just wondering.  Glad we at least can look at how happy all our SRs were in the photo until mail arrives.
I just got two letters....he sounded pretty good, not much info though. Talked about his 2 week leave after A school, said he had gotten his 2nd haircut last week. He also said to keep the letters coming!!
I got one, my daughter and older son and parents as well.  I don't know who else he writes to.  My letters don't have much info either, but he does say that anything I write about home is good, no matter how boring I think it is.  I write about everything, though, so he doesn't need to worry about that!  AJM, I'm sorry you haven't gotten any letters, but thank you for the picture!  I REALLY needed that.  Just think, in 3 weeks from tomorrow we will all get to hug our boys!  I've really missed my baby.
Is the graduation at a time of day that they are usually awake and in good moods or sleepy and cranky?  I think it's fairly early, so it should be a lot like church.  I would make sure I had plenty of cheerios or goldfish, coloring books and crayons, and quiet toys to keep their attention and sit on an aisle in case you need to leave suddenly.  If you don't think they can be quiet, maybe one of your party can stay at the hotel with them during the graduation, or outside with them, so he can still see them asap.  I personally would bring them if at all possible but make sure you sit where you can leave quickly if they get loud.  I'm sure they won't be the only little ones there.
Got letter today, so didnt SR baby sister and a good friend of ours also.  Can not wait to see him in person! Excited to meet everyone in this division also.  Is there anyone from div 360 staying at the Navy Lodge for the graduation?
Haha, this post has so many comments.  Our sailors are so lucky to have such a great support system!  We are super lucky to have such a great support system as well :)

Just got another letter from my SR; he actually just returned the questionaire that I sent several weeks ago...thought I'd put a little of it on here since your guys are in the same place as mine!

New friends:  too many to count...it's one big family now!

We designed our division flag and it has on it: a bunch of random ****.  still a work in progress

Start on Marlinspike next week.

Least favorite thing about book camp is: no fraternizing

Proudest accomplishment: not breaking down after 5 hours of IT (I say wow, 5 hours, really?)

Some of it was specific to him, but I thought these answers would probably be similar for all of them.  Only 20 days left!!

Holy cow, 5 hours...love his answers to your questionaire Jacket..I never sent one to my son, wish I had.  Sounds like our Division has really come together!!  :-)  Can't believe only 20 days, seems like just yesterday we were waiting for the box and form letter!

Good evening everyone, I wanted to let you know that all the ribbons for this DIV that have been paid for as of yesterday have all been shipped.
