Ramada has rooms that have 3 queen size beds check them out.   you will still get it at a good price that should save you some money there.   Where are you flying from in Maine.   Maybe I can help with finding you a good deal on tickets.   Let me know the specifics send me a private email on FB.

We are staying through Sunday just in case.  We are leaving on Sunday Morning.

I have to get two rooms because one person is my Father in Law, and the other extra is my SR's girlfriend.  My oldest son is no way shape or form is going to sleep with his little sister.  LOL  It's just best for all concerned if I get two rooms!  LOL  I have a friend who is a travel agent and got us a great deal on tickets, we have to fly out of Boston to O'Hare.  Non stop $235 per ticket round trip.  Out of Portland was over $600 per ticket!!!

Understandable,   I thought that would at least help with saving you money on the room but I understand.   $235 round trip is pretty good.   I think that was about what we paid from florida before taxes though.   I know it is a hard decision to decide to stay and extra day or not.   Money wise for everyone it is tough right now.    When my mother and i booked the hotel and plane I told her that he may be leaving on Saturday but not sure when but wanted to be there either way just in case.   So that is why we made that decision.

I am flying out of Portland....Oregon!  My ex-husband's fiance (jeez, that's a mouthful) knows how to do all of this stuff and found us great deals on plane fare and 2 rooms at the Marriott (military rate or something?) so that's where we are staying.  We are actually staying until Monday.  This is basically my vacation for the year.

Kimmic1989 - Obviously you'll have to decide what is best for EVERYONE involved.  I KNOW you want to spend as much time with your Sailor as possible.  I totally get that.  From everything I've read, most of the Sailors leave on Saturday. On the other hand, you have to consider the extra expense of staying another night in the hotel (food, car rental, hotel, etc.) to take care of the possibility that Sailor will leave on Sunday.

What if you get flights home as late as you dare on Saturday?  Then, IF your Sailor doesn't leave until Sunday and you can spend some of the day with him, well, you'll be there.  If he does leave on Saturday, you'll be able to spend time in the airport with him for at least a little while.

If you are going with an airline like Southwest or other that allows you change reservations easily, you could plan to leave Saturday and then change things up if you find out Sailor won't be leaving until Sunday. Or plan to leave Sunday and change things up if he leaves Saturday.  You can always make/cancel hotel reservations.

I know, I'm not being a lot of help.  I can't tell you what to do.  We aren't even bringing everyone since we can't afford to pay for extra plane tickets, extra hotel rooms, and a larger rental car.  We just can't.  We are praying that somehow we find the money to pay for what we are doing.  As badly as I want to be at PIR (and I WILL be there), financially, this is really, really hard.

Thanks ColoradoMom...it did help and I think I am going with leaving on Saturday night. We can get a 7:35pm flight out to Boston.  My SR's girlfriend's parents are paying for her plane ticket and my FIL is paying for his own, but I still have to come up with $1,000 for just my family!!  If my SR thinks he's getting a graduation gift too....we are IT baby!!!  LOL

Yipes! My ex-husband and I cashed in air miles to pay for our SR's girlfriend since she is a college student. As I said, his fiance got us deals on everything.

How on earth did mom's ever let their kids go off to BC without N4M!!  I think I would have crumbled without all the support!!!

I AGREE!!! Don't know what I would do here without you!!

I also do not know what I would do without being able to talk to you all.   I am so glad I got the best Mom's, girlfriends etc to talk too.

Anyway I am glad I dont where makeup because I am sure it would also be all over the place.   FYI they did tell us not to wear anything that may rub off on our SR's uniforms.   I think they will be wearing the black ones but just in case I wanted to throw that out there.   We dont want them to get in trouble.

Thanks for the warning about the make-up! I have this make-up that can only be taken off with cold cream so I will wear that.  You don't want to see me in public without a little make-up, trust me!  Now, I am guessing we can't leave lipstick on their cheeks when we kiss them, right? :-)
