For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hi, my name is Valerie. My son is in your son's division. I'm still trying to figure out this whole site. Not sure who to write, when to write, and where to write. I've heard from my son a couple of times by letter, but I have not talked with him on the phone since he arrived. Have you talked with your son? My son, David, has said that he has met many "interesting" people in bootcamp. Loves the diversity that he is experiencing. Doesn't like getting yelled at 2 inches from his face, but from what I've read, that is the norm. Would love to have someone to talk with whose kid is in the same division. Hope to hear from you sometime.

I heard from my son Zachary last Wed. evening around 6PM....he said its not what he had expected...not as bad as he thought it would be....he was more worried then he needed to be....he said after about 6 days the yelling didn't even effect him...it was like they were just talking....he likes the food and he was such a picky eater....he is more worried about the PT test but thinks he will be ok....He said he is a Grad and Go which means we will only have a few hours with him after he Graduates....he said most of the guys are ok but some are (well best to stay away from) and with so many in the division its easy to distance yourself from them...LOL...so he is adapting well....he is already counting the days he is accumulating to come home.....wants to be able to stay at least a week and he said if you work for your local recruiter you can get a week home and only work 2 hours a day....we don't get much mail from him...I said to write everyone who writes to him and I will get an update from them....he hates to write and said he doesn't want to write 5 letters with the same info....LOL....you will hear something soon...hang in there....they keep saying ...No news is good news...
