For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 139 and 140
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

We have heard from our SR pretty regularly this past two weeks. Div 140. He has been getting high marks on his tests and inspections and extra phone time was part of his reward. He was overjoyed to go to the base Taco Bell and drink Cherry Coke. Looking forward to seeing him and getting a big hug,

Skooter64 that is wonderful about your SR, you must be a proud mom hearing how good he is doing. Did he mention anything about his Division? What they have completed and what stills need to be done? Is BS still on Monday?

I sent my son one of those fill-in the blank questionnaires about boot camp and what to do and what to bring after PIR. He said several of his SR buddies liked the questionnaire and wanted copies, too. So I thought I would share it here with all the families. The SR's may not have time to mail it back, but you may be able to ask some of these questions and get some information over the phone when your SR calls. ...

OMG we get to see our SR in a few days. I am so overly excited! This might sound odd but I hope this time saying good bye isn't as hard as boot camp. I keep telling myself we now will be able to talk to him, and I love that. For whatever reason I have many emotions going on.

My son called an hour ago (at 2:00pm Chicago time) to tell me everyone in Div 139 passed Battle Stations! He says he is very tired.

I just got a phone call, too. They are now sailors! They have the most flags of all of the divisions and are working on one more. They missed the Hall of Fame flag because they failed an inspection. My son's knees are killing him but he made it through! Phew!

I just wanted to say congratulations to all of the div. Especially 139 if my Sr had got to make it that's the division he would had been in. Congratulations to all. Thoughts and prayers will be with you all. I'm excited for each and every one of you.

Thank you LENA! We can finally breathe a sigh of relief that our SR finished the last test. It's quite an incredible task, especially considering the many that weren't able to reach the end. I send prayers all of those who tried but weren't able to finish for one reason or another, including your friend, knowing that they have something better intended for them on their path of life. Thanks, LENA, for being with us on this journey!

My son is in Div 140, and he called yesterday too, having passed Battle Stations. I said, "How did it go?" And his reply was that parts of it were fun, and parts of it were very difficult. Can't wait to see him, and I'm counting the hours now!
