Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 405 and 406

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Received a call from my son. Ship 9 Div 405........I'm not happy he had all 4 of his wisdom teeth out yesterday...Only let him talk for 5 minutes...

Hello all! We got our first letter from our SR today! He left for BC on 8/28, the letter was dated 8/31 and postmarked on 9/13 so I am pretty confident he is receiving our letters by now. He said he is doing great -in the letter he said that they were stuck in P-day limbo and just studying so after my husband talked to him last week, it all sounds like old news lol. In his first sentence he thanked us for supporting him and for pushing him to join - that makes me so happy!! He also said that he may not be able to call until late september or early october but to keep the phones on for when he does. His writing was neater than I have ever seen it too. I just put a 5 page letter in the mail from his dad today, he is going to be thrilled to get that one!

How are the SR's doing in Div 405.  My SR's best friend is in there.  I know he just had his wisdom teeth out and his mom is worried.  I was just looking for advice to share with her from some of you mom's out there.  Have a great day, stay strong.

HI Pa Mom, my son is in div 405. He called me on sunday and let me know he had all four of his wisdom teeth out too. I was initially upset, I still am a little. But he did sound fine. We only had 5 minutes to talk, so I really couldn't get much information...He did say he sent letters out so hopefully I will find out more ..I cant tell her not to worry because that's what I am doing...just hate he went thru that and I was not there..

Her sr and your will be OK. The first 3 weeks are rough on them and the moms. My sr is almost there. Be we don't stop worrying. They make great progress by week 4 and 5. They can see their goals just ahead of them. Stay strong.
My SR. Called sat. Says everything is going good. Div406. Ship 9. Got two letters. . Counting the weeks

I received my first personal letter today, Div 405. He was very positive about everything he wrote about which is such a relief! He said he is making a lot of great friends!  He even mentioned some names so I will be so glad to be able to possibly chat with some of those moms before PIR!

I just received my first personal letter too, Div 406. He hasn't been able to call because they'd gotten into trouble for something...lol. He had all his wisdom teeth taken out too. He also said that I wouldn't believe how much he eats now. He was always a picky eater. And yes, like I thought, he really misses his phone and being able to listen to music! If they stay out of trouble, he said they can make calls on Saturday.

I received my first personal letter today....div 405...It made me happy/sad/cry at the same time!!! wooo hooo I cant wait until graduation to see my baby!!!

I hope I get a phone call this weekend according to the letter He should be able to call! I don't know if I am more excited to see my kid & to just know that he is graduating boot camp and/or to visit the Chicago/Milwaukee area with him like a mini vacation! Also I think that I am a little at an advantage because I grew up a Navy brat with a DAD on Subs. So I kind of had an idea that the whole no contact thing for a few weeks would be expected. I do miss my only Boy bunches tho! He has a special place in my heart! Go Navy! Hoorah!

Just put 5 letters in the mail. Hoping for a phone call today :)

Hey Sabrina, I'm hoping for one as well. I try to mail a letter /pictures/graphic everyday.  So he will get something everyday. I'm hoping it will make the time move faster for him!!
