Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 405 and 406

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Due to a lapse in federal funding, many of RTC's civilian employees have been furloughed. As soon as a resolution is formed, these individuals will return to work.
Recruit Training Command would like to remind all friends and family members who have recruits at RTC that the government shutdown has still not affected ...training. However, we are pleased to announce that the essential personnel who deal with processing recruits in and out of the command will be returning to work immediately!
This means that all graduations (PIRs) and follow on travel will continue as scheduled.
For all the guests who will be arriving to Recruit Training Command for this Friday's graduation, we ask everybody to arrive even earlier than normal due to the lack of manpower for check-ins and security. We know everybody is excited to see their loved one. Please be patient and understanding as we try to accommodate everyone!

Hello everyone. My boyfriend is in Div 405 and will be attending A School in Pensacola for CTN. I haven't gotten any calls from him in a while and I also missed a bunch from when he first went into basic because of my work schedule. I've only gotten 2 letters from him so far, but only 10 more days! I can't wait.

Unfortunately I can't attend the actual ceremony, but I will be going to Great Lakes to spend the day with him, so I'm looking forward to that.

Jessica, my SR is in div 406 and is also going to A School in Pensacola for CTN! Our SR is not much of a communicator so we have only received 2 very short letters. Hopefully we will get a call in the next couple of days to let us know when BS 21 is. Sorry you cant make PIR but at least you will get to see your boyfriend!

I'll just be happy to see him. But yeah, hopefully we'll get a call soon. :)

My boyfriend has had trouble with his run, he only missed it by one second last time he was timed, I hope he makes it.
