Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 405 and 406

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

jeepgirl I plan on going. I've already RSVP'd.  We'll be driving down from TX.

My Son same Div 406 no call yet ;-(

Iansmom I heard from my SR on Labor Day. I hope you hear from yours soon....

My brother is in 09/405 and we just received his call about an hour ago. Maybe your SRs will be calling soon.

Are there any moms whose SR left out of Shreveport, LA?

We got our call!!! 09/406! They are on track and he can't wait for us to come out for PIR! I was at work but Dad and sister talked to him!

My son is Ship 09 Div 405 and he called us today, about 8 hours ago! I have not had access to computer all day or I would have posted this sooner.  He left on 8/27 and other than the box and form letter this is the first we had heard from him. It was so great to hear his voice! He sounded great and said he is doing really good!!  He was really positive about everything! I was proud of myself that I did not cry until after I hung up! Hearing his voice made me realize how much I do miss him but I did not tell him that!  He said receiving mail is great for all of them so we all need to keep the letters going!!  I hope everyone else hears from their SR's soon if they haven't yet!!

OMG..im so glad you got to hear from him..Im still waiting..Maybe I'll get a call tomorrow or Monday.

Hang in there!  I am praying that you receive your call soon!!

Hello everyone.  My son is Ship 9 Div 406 and I received his call yesterday @ 1pm.  I was thrilled to say the least.  Things are going well.  I dont think they are getting much sleep as they have tons of homework everynight and then they have to prepare for the next morning.  He also said the food is awful, being a southern boy, he used to things with flavor.  He is making it through with the help of Tabasco sauce.  Ha!  He hopes to call again in a week or two.  I will be waiting.  He said he is beginning to feel the pride that comes along with this committment.  That made me happy.  Moms, CARRY YOUR PHONE EVERYWHERE with you.  I take my phone into meetings at work and put it on silent.  Missing a call would be unbearable for me.  Stay strong moms.  For those who have not received the call yet.  Hang in there!
