Hi kathy!

My daugher is also assigned to Ship 10 division 263?   Have your received any mail yet besides the form letter?  I was really hoping for a real phone call here soon, but from what I have read here on the forums, it doesn't look like that happens till in between week 3 and 4.  What is your daughter's rate (job)?  Mine is going into hospital corpsman.  I think it will be a good fit for her.  Have you made plans for PIR yet?

Elizabeth

It is great that they will have someone they know at A-school!  My daughters name is Angela.  We are driving from Nebraska for PIR and we will be staying at Navy Lodge.  Angie is my oldest, so I knew that her leaving would be hard.  She has always been like another mom to her siblings.  I think about her alot during the day,,,wondering what she is doing and if things are going o.k. for her.  Are you all located near San Antonio?  That is where the hospital corpsman school is now.

Elizabeth

Hi got letters today asher says that her and angela are friends and were talking about where they will spend thanksgiving lol she said that they were thinking of going to church together I just wanted to say thanks for your daughter she has helped ashers days be easier:) hope you have a good day!
Hi elizabeth. We are driving from Wyoming and also staying at navy lodge. Maybe we'll run into each other. How's your daughter doing now?

Kathy,

I got my first real letter today!  You should be getting yours soon too.  Mine was postmarked 7/5-so you should be hearing from your daughter soon.  Getting this letter totally made my day!  My daughter sounds pretty upbeat in her letter.  She says the instructors are about as strict as me and her dad but with twice as much cussing & yelling.  When I write her this weekend, I will ask if she knows your daughter.

Elizabeth

HI GOT OUR CALL TODAY, IT WAS SO SAD EVERYONE IS SICK SHE WANTS TO QUIT AND WANTS TO STAY ALL AT THE SAME TIME . THESE KIDS ARE SO BRAVE .... DID YOURS  SHARE WITH YOU WHAT THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL PUNISHMENT WAS I AM JUST CURIOUS ABOUT IT SHE SAID SHE CAN HANDLE ALL THE PT BUT SHE GETS SCREAMED AT FOR BEING TOO SWEET
My son also passingly mentioned about the ice cream social. Some girls were fighting and the drill seargents got very angry. Everyone got punished.
