Our SR are getting closer!!!

Got two letters today. She sounded so upbeat in them. Said the Div is marching together well, working together well. It was nice from the phone call just a few days ago where she seemed frustrated. I told her then that they would come together and start working well. Seems that it is true.
got 2 letters from mine also (she said they couldn't send mail on tues or thurs anymore because people were getting in trouble).  the first one she wrote was pretty up beat but then the second one she was upset about her husband.  she said he isn't writing her enough and wanted me to cuss him out, lol.  i told him what she said but what i won't tell her is that she needs to remember he's working (every minute he can and has already made enough extra money to pay for the uhaul up there) and packing.

It is funny just how different their world and ours is. My SR mentioned about wanting contact with the outside world and the letters are it. Fortunately she has a friend who is in the Navy and went through BC three years ago. This friend writes to her every day. Even I can't get one out every day. Most of her other friends have written to her already. My worry is that they are a one and done situation. I post on her facebook nearly every day with the edict: "Have you written Kelly? If not get on it. If you have write her again." It seems to be working. Of course, I get help in writing the letters from the "adventures" my Flat SR has taken. I get to send her pics and write her long letters about her adventures out in the world while she is working away at BC.

Working definitely puts a crimp in time for writing. My husband has written one letter, but not just because he is always working. He doesnt do phone calls or letters well at all. Not much of a small talk kind of guy. He did say that he would write another before she got out of bootcamp. She's gonna be surprised just to get the one! Let alone two.

Welcome darlenejonz. My daughter is 267. She loves her bunkmate as well and I'm not sure if she is 267 or 268. Didn't even think to ask that! supposedly her bunkmate's mom is on NFM but I haven't been able to ferret her out yet. Hoping that she will find me. Told my daughter my sign on so that she could pass it on to her bunkmate. My SR said they were getting ready for weapons as well. Their division sounded like they were finally coming together according to her last letter, which is nice since she sounded so frustrated on our call. I tried to tell her that right around now things would start turning around.
That's so cool! Those girls are gonna make lifetime friends in there. My daughter said when she had her wisdom teeth cut out... all the girls took care of her :) that made me happy :)) and I know it made her feel good =)

Hello darlenjonz :-)  Welcome!!

My daughter is #267.... and she too has spoken of bunking with the ladies from #268.  Got a letter today, she sounds happy and upbeat, she talked about the fun all the girls are having even in the mist of those long hard days.  I think they're coming together too, she says they have the best recruiter/trainers.

hey ladies!

i sent everyone here a message asking for last names.  my SR is also in 267 and she's asking for names from here so she can see who she knows and let them know we're all here together.  did anyone get the message?  if not can you pm me names?  thanks!

Good Morning ALL - I pray we all have a good day. Most of us have started getting those letters dated after our call on the 19th. I feel they've done some much, but still have a ways to go.

Hopefully it will get easier for them and us too. :)
Good morning.  Thanks for the message.  I wonder how the kids are truly doing.  It's so hard on us, and we have family and friends around.  I don't know how the kids are holding up.  Hopefully they are making life long friends.

I hope so, she does speak of a few girls in her letters, that she's extremely close too.

  • You're right, it's hard on us and were not the ones there.... LOL!
