MY CALL JUST CAME!!!!!!  WE HAD ABOUT 4 MIN TO TALK!!! THEY KEEP YELLING "HANG UP" BUT WE TALKED UNTIL THE LAST SECOND.  I PRAY YOUR CALLS ALL COME SOON.
My Sam is going to A school across the street from Boot Camp!!  I live about 3 hours from the Great Lakes, and his recruiter said that after the first two weeks of A school that Sam can come home on the weekends!!!  Also, his recruiter told Sam and Me that if he tells his boot camp commander, or whomever, that after A school he wants to come home and work for his recruiter for a week before shipping out it's usually granted and it's like a 5 day vacation without penalty.  His recruiter said he doesn't work them too hard because because he wants them to be with family and friends. Did your son's recruiter say anything to you about that?  I remind Sam in his letters to be sure and ask!!!

My son's recruiter did mention that and Clinton has "hung" on those words. I hope the plan stays that way. How long is he in A school for?

You will not miss your call- it will send all of the others to voicemail but let it ring for Sam!! :)

I sure hope you are right!! Sam's A school is for 6 weeks!!!
it mainly depends on the school and how soon he gets into it.  my other daughter went to p-cola too but it was 2 weeks before she actually started school
my son s going to Pensacola for A scholl also. For IT. how about yours?? They are on the same ship
we are staying at red carpet inn, that's about one mile from base. I live about three hours from there.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn- it's 3 miles away. We are staying there only because my husband travels alot and they stay at the Holiday Inn's all over the state of Arizona so he racks up points for free rooms. That helps especially when you have airfare and rental car expenses. I wish we were closer. I wanted to stay close... oh well.

I am hoping my son wants to go to the amusement park there!!!

I chatted, yesterday, with moms who are out of boot camp, and they said all the kids want to do is: eat junk food, sleep, talk, eat , and take a shower ALONE.  Also talk on their cell phones.
