I have not recieved my weekly letter hopefully today, but my son is a Seabee too. Have you or your daughter confirmed if she is grad and go? if I have aletter when I get home I will let you know what I hear.
Yes, her letter said that she was a grad n go and would ship out at 0200 Sat. morning.
She said Mississippi, and after digging on here, found that it was Gulfport.
yeah i just got my letter, they r grad n go....but eriks a-school is right next door so after he checks in he can come back to the hotel for the weekend
I am happy for you, I just got my SR's letter too and he is leaving for California at 2;00 a.m on the 9th I'm sad but I will spend every second I can with him during the day and at the airport, so Judy if at 2;00 a.m you see a woman having a crying fit chances are it will be me, I will have to take plenty of kleenex.
Me too! I am hoping we get lots of hours at the airport, :)
Sorry I just read the rest of the posts that you all confirmed what I was saying. For some reason I couldn't see them at first so I didn't know everyone else had responded. Can you tell me where in California your son is going? My son will also be going to California. Not sure what the proper way to find out this information is, or if you should even tell me here.
I think it's ok he is going to Port Hueneme pronounced "why-nee-mee" mine is going to Seabee school is yours doing the same thing?
No my son is going to Monterey to the Defense Language Institue. I have time off work at the end of Oct. so I'm hoping I will be able to go to see him that soon.
I hope to save up some more $ I was hoping for a Thanksgiving visit I think he gets to come home for Christmas.
yeah i heard they get to come home for christmas....i really hope so
Anybody else get phone calls??
I could not be happier!!! My son called today he said they have collected all their flags. He said they only have a couple more things they have to go through, like gas chamber on Friday, but other then that they are looking good! He said some other people were there making calls so I hope some of you were able to talk to them. I was so excited that I can't remember half the stuff he said but I know it was all good!!!
