No letter yesterday. Bummer. Our mailman is lucky I'm at work when he delivers. He would get tired of seeing me at the box every day. I bought tickets yesterday. I'm flying Shreveport, LA to Milwaukee, WI for $364.00. Thats with all the taxes. I think before taxes it was $306. It's easier going into WI than O'hare. Didn't want to fight traffic going north through chicago. Past PIR moms said that WI was the easier way to go. Hope everyone gets letters and calls this week!! Only 15 more days!!!!
I'm traveling from NY. Ticket price was 99$ one way month ago. Now little more. 225$ before tax round trip, but price is going up. I think is right time to buy before the price reach 200$ one way. See you in graduation!
I got a letter yesterday! Does everyone know our SRs get extra liberty after PIR because of Columbus Day? I thought it was just Monday but it's Tuesday too. Also, there is a U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on face book and you can ask questions. I found out that that I can send my son his contacts for PIR. He will be happy :) They said we can send them now along with one week of cleaning fluid. Also on this page they have the picture of the week from boot camp. I have not seen any from our division yet but I keep hoping :)
I called recruiter today. He said they should know now about Columbus day from commanders. On Columbus Day nobody leave to A school, but he didn't know if they have liberty. Up to commanders. May be we could call someone to camp and ask this question? My husband mentioned Wednesday they are leaving. Not sure. I'd like to stay that Monday!!!??? And letter today, too. I read Div 337 called today. May be our 340 will call Sunday or Monday. Hope. Thank you for info on face book!
Divsion 340 is getting to call home on the 27th. Hopefully everyone will get a call stay close to the phones Ladies!
BS21 is battle stations. Chris told me they only get one shot at this because they are the push group. I feel like they will make it. Chris also said that out of all the divisions there group has been the best at team work. So keep your cell phones on thursday night for the "I'm a Sailor" call. Don't forget to print your parking passes starting Sunday the 26th.
Hey! I'm HOME from my wonderful fun fill resort vacation courtesy of the SC Hospital. Food isn't so good. Great service. Therapeutic meds help you sleep, if they allow you to. In all, I don't recommend the trip. BUT while there, I got an awesome letter. Said their div won over the SEALS for a flag in PA testing. They passed many of their Hell week inspections with flying colors, and are now known as the 'best div' there. They passed Marlinspike with a 5 pt loss... which most on the first time get atleast a 15pt loss. So, he also said they are the best at team work. Although they have BS21 the night before PIR their RDC's said they are the most prepared group to pass it. YAY!
Just walked up the steps from the hosp, and phone rings... Its my SR!!!!!! He kinda gathered something was up b/c it isnt often my mom and my MIL are here at the same time... and there was a bunch of ppl here. I told him they were helping around with the kids b/c I had to go for routine testing on my disease. (He knew I had to go this month, but does not know that it was NOT for routine tests, but a flare up). Good news, I was able to report wonderful lab reports to him, and he has NOTHING to worry about. We talked for 15 minutes!SO glad I answered the phone and nobody else did!
Hugs to all, and missed you!
Cameowlot: Glad you are doing well. Thanks so much for the information. Sounds like our boys are doing good! I haven't received a phone call from my SR yet but it is still early.
Chris called today. We talked almost 30 min. He said that a lot of the guys were sick with colds. He sounded so stopped up. He did comfirm that they were ranked the best group. and that they beat the seal group in PA testing. They took there pictures the other day. he said everyone passed there weapons tests. They will have fire training this week. Hope everyone else gets calls also.
Yes! Call today. 31 min. Last sec he ask: " Can you hear me, can you hear me?" I answered YES, but he hang up. Time was over I guess. My husband didn't mentioned anything about tests and flags, he wants to talk only about home. Thanks for everybody who shares everything about competitions, flags etc.
We got our call today! I WAS HOME! YEAH ! We talked for a good thirty minutes. everyone in our house got to say hi!. He sounded. sick. Said he wasn't feeling well but he would be fine. Said all was well. Can't wait to see us, very home sick, but sounded better just to say it's was almost over. Hope everyone gets to hear from our guys or gals. What a great day ! God Bless All.
They are sick. Cold. Almost everybody. He said few days ago there was a storm and after that everybody become sick from AC in early morning. Was too cold in the room where they sleep. How we call that room in NAVY? :)
