Hi Ladies and Gents (too) !

Just moving this discussion over from the Leaving from Boot Camp in August Page since it makes more sense to have it hear now!

Please join so we can all stay together and support each other through this!  Has anyone in this group received a letter or phone call yet?

I'm still waiting on that letter. Being in Florida might be making the difference right now. but I'm trying to be patient-not doing a very good job :)

Tylersmom~ My son made three seperate calls tonight. He called his dad, his girlfriend and me. My sons father and I are divorced also.
Hi,

How's everyone doing in our division? No more letters for me but hoping for one a little later this week. I can't believe that PIR is "only" a month from now, seems like he has been gone forever! I'm so praying that things are going better for them.
Hi Kelliq~Nope, no new news here either. Last I heard from my SR was last Thurs. Hopefully no news means good news! Hopefully by Thurs or Fri we'll get some mail. I believe they are only aloud to write on Sundays. It really seems like a long time for me, my SR left for bootcamp on July 13th. By the time I get to see him, it'll be three month. :(.....I'm counting down the days.
Oh Karen, I forgot you have been doing this longer than the rest of us. I don't know how you can stand it. Even though he called more while he was injured, you still couldn't call him when you wanted to, you had to wait for him, right? That's the part I have trouble with, remembering I can't call or text him when I think of something I want to tell him. We will all Hang in There together!
Hi Kelliq-

I received two more letters yesterday, dated Sept.1st and Sept. 2nd- he wrote to me the night we had phone calls. Said that the division had done real good after the phone calls and he saw them slowly improving. :) - Good to hear! Said the days seem to be getting shorter for them too, and was grateful for that. Still very homesick and it's truly breaking my heart. 29 days- that's all I can say! I spent my lunch hour with his recruiter's today, they had received a letter as well and it was to nice to laugh and share our letters. Anything to make me feel closer to him. Stay Strong and I hope you get more communication soon!
Karen-

I don't know how you are holding up girl! I think of you and when I'm talking to my friends, I tell them your sons story!. Let's just say, they are happy that my son is plugging along because they don't think they can put up with much longer ! :) Truly- you are a strong example for us, and I know October 8th will be such a momentous day for you and the family! Keep counting away, we are well on our way!
Hi Everyone! Sorry I haven't posted either. I am still here. Just missing my son! I am sure he is missing us too! He did tell me the evenings are the worst but he was doing fine. We got letters here on Saturday but none since then. I am assuming with the holiday maybe we will get some tomorrow! I know they are counting down the days just like we are!! My son even told me that they were counting down the days until September and then lo and behold it was there! So I am still thinking of all you - have just been a little down - but I am sure everyone is!!
Hi MaribethP, Glad you are doing ok, and I completely understand I find myself in such a depression that its hard to function sometimes. Then I'll get a letter and be up for a few hours and then crash again. 29 days left. Praying for those days to fly for us and Division 333. You are all always im my thoughts even if I'm hibernating and sulking. Stay Strong, we are getting there!
Hello Ladies, I'm really finding myself in the dumps today. I'm really missing my son :(. It's really hitting me hard today for some reason. I know we are all missing our recruits, and hope we all get letters and phone calls again soon. I'm counting down the days until 10/8/10, as I know we all are. I pray all our recruits stay healthy, and pass all the tests required of them. I know PIR is going to be a day to be remembered for all of us and our recruits. I am so happy and grateful to have the support of all of you here on Navy4Moms. Nobody else truly understands what we and our recruits go through. Thank You!
Karen,

Reading your post makes me wish that we all lived close together so we could just get together in the evenings and support each other. The evenings are the hardest for me, as I am sure that they for you as well, I'm teary most of the night, writing his letter, reading posts on here and just plain missing him. What a hole that has been left in my home without him. This has been such an experience and you are so right when you say that no-one understands what its like- they can't. So here's to us Moms of Division 333, may today be a good day for us all and for our recruits, prayers going out that today is shorter, easier to endure, and that somehow, someway they can feel their mama's love and pride for them!
I am hoping today is mail day - that always seems to make me happier - yet still makes me cry! I can't wait until the 8th! Those will be happy tears that day!! Hugs to everyone today!
It must be that kind of a day/week. It is pouring down rain right now so that doesn't help at all. It has been the hardest week for me and I'm not sure why. I think a letter will help but not sure one is coming, he really isn't a letter writer and I told him that was ok. And it is. The worst part today, I forgot my cell phone at home. I realize we are probably not going to get a call, but you never know. I have a meeting at noon so I don't think I can get home to pick it up. Unless I hear that calls are coming, than I am out the door - for the day! Hugs from me too, I know we will continue to be NavyStrong!
