did I do that right?  We haven't started twoard travel yet for the big day.  My son is quite a bit older than many of the other recruits.  He is 32. I imagine he is having a very different experience than if he had joined 10 years ago.  He did march in a drum and bugle corps, so some things are easier for him, I am sure.  Lookinf forward to a real letter.

Hi ladies! My husband is in this division as well :) does anyone know if we'll get a 2nd phone call before after their battlestations? Im getting SO excited, only a week and a half to go!!
They probably wont get a phone call before BS, unless they earn a special privelidge.
Kiwi...very cool about being a flag carrier...and really really cool about the near record...and I thought maybe they were just doing average (because of the so few calls we have received).  Anyone know on the BS date...
Anyone else staying at the Navy Lodge?
We heard from oour son on 3/31/ in a letter he wrote on 3/22.  He still sounds good, but longs for the day he can wake up without being yelled at.  I don't know when Battle Stations is supposed to happen, but from the oother posts, I'm gathering it should be soon...looking forward to graduation...a little panicky about what to wear..especially for shoes, cute or comfortable..on my feet, those qualities are mutually exclusive...
Judy, I'm right there with you in regards to the outfit... dressy, casual, tennis shoes, heels?  decissions, decissions. I'm thinking Jeans, nice blouse or top, comfy shoes.  What are you leaning more towards?
Hey Girls.  I am pretty sure BS is Monday night for 127~with them calling us on Tuesday (fingers crossed).  I am getting anxious.  We decided with jeans and nice shirts.  I will be in red/wht/blue.  This is all getting very exciting!!  I am glad we have eachother~cause my other friends just dont get it.  Our time is coming~see you soon!
Anyone from 127 hear anything?  (seems many of the others are calling ~ or using computers)..maybe the RDC's are just extra tough...as the guys said in the beginning?  Even if no word now, am still excited that son may call on Tuesday...and to then see him on Friday!!!    Hope to meet some of you on Thursday night!

I havent heard a peep & I'm SUPER JEALOUS! ugh.

Me too!  (although happy for everyone else).  Maybe we have a bunch of "bad boys"!!  Well, I wasnt planning on hearing from him today..so that will have to do.  Where is your hubby going after GL...or is he staying there?  My son is going to CT.

I have no idea.  He went in w/ a Corpsman contract, so I'm assuming he would stay in GL.  BUT, he tried out for SWCC (spec forces) a few weeks ago & passed all the physical tests.  Last I heard, he was just waiting for his medical screen to come back clean & then he would get that contract, which would send him to San Diego.

So, I really have no idea at this point where he is going.  Thats part of what makes every one else getting calls so frusterating.  I know he knows by now... I just dont know b/c of the lack of communication.

My son has been really missing his daddy lately, so a phone call home today would have been a godsend!

Hang in there!  I know it is extra hard being "the wife", especially if there are little ones asking for daddy.  I was in the Army, then married (1st hubby) an Army man...was at home with the two boys while dad would be off training or when he went to Bosnia.

I will say though, I LOVED the life.  Moved all over the world.  Really enjoyed it.  Never would have thought my younger son (now 19) would have joined.  He does not remember when we were in.  So a great surprise to us.  A nice surprise.

Get ready for a life of never knowing what is going on...and being ready to change plans on the drop of a hat.  But, it is an exciting life.  Get involved, stay connected and you will really enjoy it.

Hopefully..I am sure they will...they will call us on Tuesday after BS.  I sure he will have good news for you...and the excitement will begin....all over again.

I have to laugh each time I see your "name"...I am thinking you were born in 1983...that is the year I graduated High School!

Hoping to see you Thursday night at Meet/Greet or see you Friday!

Go 127!!!
