did I do that right?  We haven't started twoard travel yet for the big day.  My son is quite a bit older than many of the other recruits.  He is 32. I imagine he is having a very different experience than if he had joined 10 years ago.  He did march in a drum and bugle corps, so some things are easier for him, I am sure.  Lookinf forward to a real letter.

haha. ya, I was born in 1983.  My name is Tosha.  Im not very creative w/ screennames. :)

Its going to be a different life for sure.  I've been working full time since I graduated high school.  I'm an Engineer right now for an electronics company, and I'm planning on leaving that all behind to follow my husbands dream of being in the Navy.  I'm going to be going from a working mom to a stay at home mom.  I'm looking forward to it, but its going to be different!

Being an engineer, I pay a lot of attention to details and planning things out... so, not ever knowing what is going on is really a challenge for me.  But, I'm learning as I go :)

I dont think I'll be at the meet & greet, I fly in at like 5pm Thursday.  But, if you see a short girl carrying a toddler w/ a 4yr old in tow... thats me.  It'll just be the 3 of us.

Hey - my son will be leaving for Pensacola for CTR - did you join that group yet?

It will all be great.  You will learn!!  I was always involved with the Enlisted Wives Club and active at the school.  People come and go in the military.  It is good to make friends and be active...keep you mind off other stuff.

I will be looking for you!  We (wonderful 2nd hubby and I) will be wearing ribbons from Lala...we will be the average height, chubby couple!  I will be carrying a flag purse.

I think I said...weeks and weeks ago...I would be happy to sit by you and help you with the kids.  Offer still stands!

~Susie

That would be great! Feel free to approach me, if I dont recognize you first :)
Will do!!
I was just wondering what is the meet and great? I would love to meet other wifes/mothers/ect. especially from 127!!! Only a coulple more days!!! :) Anyone else staying at the courtyard?

Hi Wifey.  The meet and greet is at the Ramada, anyone who is PIR on 4-8 is welcome to come...not just those staying at the Ramada.  Look under "events" it will tell you more.

I am assuming by the name...you have a husband in 127.  I changed our reservations a few times...but will end up at the Homewood Suites in Lincolnshire.  Looking forward to meeting you on Thursday if you can make it.

thank you, hope to make it on time! my plane doesnt get in until 4:25 at midway, so ill try. hope i get to meet you:) or anybody else for that matter.! does anyone have any fun things planned for that weekend? i dont have a clue whats out there?

Me neither....Never planned anything...as the main goal is getting in Friday am to see our son!  I guess we will figure something out when we get there!

Have a safe trip!

Ladies...i bet you are all as excited as I am.  GO 127!!!  I hope they have one heck of a good time tonight!  Excited to hear from my son tomorrow.  (again...i always assume he will call me!).  Good luck to us all!
I couldnt sleep at all last night Kiwi!  I tossed and turned and sat there thinking about all that they were doing and all the traveling I'm going to have to do w/ the kids. I can't wait for that call today!  AND I'm super nervous to see him... its like meeting him for the first time all over again.  yikes!
Hang in there Kiwi!  In just a few hours we will all be posting that we heard from our Sailors!!  This is a very exciting day!
