Anyone have a daughter in this group?  I got my daughter's letter yesterday letting me know she is in this group.

Has a facebook page been set up for division 179/180? I thought I read somewhere that 179 and 180 train together.

Hi - I booked the Residence Inn yesterday.  Still not sure how we are traveling yet.  My father might be joining us which means we will need travel up to Michigan to get him and then down to Chicago.  If he decides not to go (he is 87 years old and not sure if he will be up to), then we will probably fly into either Midway or Milwaukee.

Not sure what Grad & Go is - can you explain what that means?

I don't know anything about a facebook page.  And I am not sure about 179 and 180 training together.

7 more Fridays (hopefully) and we can see our girls!

Hi,

my son is in ship-11 div-179

Waiting to hear something, hoping maybe a letter soon.

WOW..So glad you are on here..our group seems so small. I don't think very many people know about it yet.

What is your sons name? My daughter is Shelby. I'm hoping for a letter this week as well. I send her a letter every day hoping they are what will help her if things get tough. I'm hoping once we start receiving their letters the time will go a little bit faster. :)

Have you made all of your travel arrangements for PIR?

I hope you receive your letter soon. :)

My sons name is Brandon.......     I haven't found many from their division either.  Do you go to the navy recruit page on facebook?  They put up random pictures of all the recruits; hoping they catch my son in one.

Our travel plans are made, we are staying on the base (husband is air force retired) , and driving out there.

We are coming from NY, decided to drive so we weren't controlled by our plane ticket.  We want to visit as long as possible.

I'm suffering empty nest, Brandon is my baby , and when he left that was it.    Going to take time to get used too, seems like he has been gone a long time already

You all set with your travel plans too?   Our kids are going to be so grown up when we see them again.

Let's hope we both get something this week, letter, call,anything...........  LOL

Have a good night!

Hello all.  I too, keep hoping for a letter. My daughter is Amber.  Tedemara, I know how you feel. I sent my youngest off to the Air Force on March 20th and my daughter to the Navy on April 17th.

I wish we had a FaceBook page. The Air Force does and it is set up by Divisions. They post pictures every week.

Everyone have a wonderful evening.

Wow , I don't know if I would make it, sending two off and so close...How  you holding up?

Have you gone to this page on facebook, they post random pics of the recruits so ours might get in a shot.   Well hoping for one anyway. Here's the link.

Doing ok. My son graduates in 2 weeks and then the count down is on for my daughter.  I so excited and cannot wait to meet everyone.

I check the Facebook page everyday and hope to see her soon.

Hang in there.  Only 42 days left.  We can all do this.  Heck, what they are going through is one heck of lot worse that what we are and if they can do it, we can too.  Stay Strong Ladies.

Hi Everyone..Did you receive any letters yet? Mine came today and shelby sounds Great..she said it's tough but is doing great..said IT is awful but the food is great. :)

She did say she had not received any letters from us yet so I'm guessing they just crossed in the mail.

42 more days...can't wait to see her.. :)

Nothing today.  Hoping for tomorrow.  Where are you located again?  As for the mail, I read some place that one of the SRs is designated as the mail person, but they have to go through special training which can take up to 3 weeks.  No mail can be distributed until that person is trained.

Hi jitterbug..I'm in Arizona. I'm sure you will get your letter tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed. :)

Shelby said one of the girls received 14 letters so hopefully she will receive ours shortly.

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and can't wait to hear some good news!
