If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

Cindy,
The last thing that happens at the PIR ceremony is the call for Liberty! Then you can go down on the floor and find you sailor and if there orders say they don't have watch or are a grad n go, I think they can leave the base and go to your hotel or whatever but you must have them back every night before 8:00 p.m. (from what I have read). Hope that helps alittle. Brenda
Thanks Brenda. I think he is grad n go but doesn't ship out until 6/19. So maybe he will have liberty. Hope so.
Cindy, most grad n go ship out the day after PIR. So he doesn't ship out till the 19th, I would think he could be with you for Liberty over the weekend. I keep praying that our son isn't a grad n go, want to spend some time with him!!! Hope that helps a little. Bren
By the way Cindy, where is your son going to A-school? My son is suppose to ship out the 15th to Pensacola Fla. (it will be hot down there). Thanks for letting us know you will be at the M&G because the Ramada said we could decorate a table but we will for sure need more than one table.
If you have anymore info from your son (such as,did he say when BS will be for our Div.?)we all would appreciate the sharing. Thanks Bren
Hey all ... I've been reading all of your postings. Still no word from my boy in weeks and weeks. I love hearing that Tynan snuck a call in today to mama. Made my day to hear the gas chamber is done.

Does anyone in the group have a sailor heading to the Nuke Program in South Carolina? That's where George is headed but not sure when (since I haven't heard from him.)

All for now. I'm getting more an more anxious as the grad date gets closer. ~Abbe
Abbe, glad to hear from you, There must be alot of guys going there I remember in one of my sons letters he said there are 31 nukes in the division (out of 86). Will you be at the M&G? I hope we have a crowd there!! And don't worry if George is anything like our son he is just trying to do everything on point and just doesn't have enough time to write all these letters(I'm sure they are all wishing for there laptops when they have to write longhand)! Bren
Yes, I will be at the M&G~! Staying there too. I actually switched my hotel reservation to the Ramada since there's a shuttle and all. I have a parking pass but seems it might be easier to shuttle it. We'll see. 31 Nukes! Wow. The things I've learned from this site! : ) ~Abbe
Yep, TC told me the same thing about the 31 Nukes. He said the other ships/divisions only had about 5. We've got quite a group of young men and women on our group.
Bren, I think he said the Battlestations wasn't until next week but I am unsure about that. TC will be a Seabee, Construction Battilion, and his A School is in Port Humene, CA, which is either a suburb or close by Los Angeles. He's pretty pumped about it, as he has always wanted to go "Cali" LOL. He said he will be training along side the Marines but I'm not sure how all that works. There must be a Marine base close by. I didn't know it but they say that the Marines once were a branch off of the Navy. I also found out that he ranked up. I am so very, very proud of hiim.
That is so awesome he ranked up!!! I believe, if I am correct, that before the Navy there was only Marines and that the Navy is an off branch. Not entirely sure, but think thats how it is, they are very close knit.

Ty also said earlier that there were 30+ nukes in this div, and all very smart guys. He said his bunkmate has helped him with some questions a time or two. I also think either here or Ty said that they are all male in his div. not absolute though.
Hey Cindy,
Port Humene is in Ventura (north of Los Angeles) near where my sister -in-law lives. It's really nice there all year round. He'll love it there. I was just driving past there over the weekend when I was visiting. I live in Nor Cal near San Francisco but visit So Cal often since I have family there.~Abbe
Yep, I think I remember you saying Sacramento. My daughter lives there. Nice city.
