If you have a recruit in this division please let me know. I know that all of us who have someone graduating on 06/11 have to stick together. But it is so nice to know the family and friends of the men my husband is spending all of his time with. Also, I thought we could send letter or cards to each others recruits to add a little variety to their letters. Please let me know what you think!

I know my husband would be so thankful to know that I am getting so much support from his classmate's families. I look forward to talking to everyone on here and learing more. I can not wait until the meet and greet to be able to put a name with a face.

Good luck Navy Ship 11 Div 212!!!

I for sure am a NAVYFORMOM junky. I hope that even after bootcamp we keep in touch. I feel like I've made life long friends without even meeting you ladies. I am more than thankful for all of the support we've been able to give each other. I do not know who created N4M, but that person should be given a gazillion dollars. At times it has been this website alone to keep me sane when I thought I couldn't hold it together any more. God knew what he was dong when he brought us together. I can not wait, this time next week I will be in my van driving to GL to see all of you and our Sailors. I am getting so excited I almost can not contain myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Destinye, I second all that you have said here. Who would have thunk!! that this decision our men made to serve their country would have brought all these wonderful people from all over the U.S. together. Sometimes I don't talk to my neighbors from day to day and I can communicate with all of you like you are family, but we do have the same invested interests. And in a few days we will all be able to celebrate together!!! Won't that be an experience. I have been to senior graduations a couple of times but for some reason this is going to be a little bit more special for me (I am going to have a hard time sitting still). I really feel we should salute our men for the hellish weeks they have gone through! Most of all say your prayers that they continue on the their successful path in the Navy.
It is getting harder and harder not to get all emotional Ladies, Bren
hey ladies! I just got a phone call, it was quick. he was at the bank, they had the wrong micr number, and he needed the right info. but i did ask if he did the gas chamber and he said he did it today. i asked him how he liked it and he said he thought it was pretty cool.....strange, i didn't expect that reponse. lol but glad he did ok. just wanted to share with you all.

i so wish that i found this site before i bought the plane tickets, it makes me very sad that i wont be at the m & g to share some fellowship with you all. I hope you all have fun and maybe we'll meet up elsewhere in the area that weekend. I am there until monday.

prayers for their safety and our safety in our travels NEXT WEEK!!
Toni, sorry to hear you won't be there but you will make the most important part, PIR. Maybe you could print up a name tag and wear it at graduation and we will pick you out (everyone is going to be there by 6:45 am anyways and we could maybe sit around each other. Where will you be staying? Are you getting in late that night? We will make sure that you get pics from the M&G maybe you could privately send one of us girls your address and I will send then to you, after all you have been a part of this divisional family. I guess if Tynan went through the chamber today the whole division did. Maybe that is why BS21 is going to be later into next week. I just wish we knew more right now. I wonder if anyone got mail today? Thursday seems to be my day, I'm keeping everything on me crossed. Saying prayers every night for continued success for our men. Bren
I'm staying at the Red Carpet Inn, its just a mile down the street. I booked it the day I got the 'form letter' from Ty. Its only $62 a night, has a pool, laundry, adjacent to most, couldn't beat the price. I would rather spend the $ with Ty than on where I'm staying. I heard its pretty ok. I don't get in until 8pm Thurs night at Midway which is an hour away. I would be getting there when you are leaving. I could stop by though if you think you will still be there.

I didn't get mail today, but its usually Thurs when I get it, so I expect it to be Fri. Everyone gets mail before me, I live way out there.

I will let you know if I heard more and hope to see you all next week. I will send my address to you Bren.
That will be fine send it to me any time. You know as soon as I get home they will be going to get developed and years from now you can tell Ty look at all the moms and wives and GFs that worried about every single recruit in your division at BC. We looked through my bro-inlaw Navy scrap book from forty years ago GL looked alot different. Kyle told me tell uncle C that we still sing Anchors Aweigh going through the tunnel when we march. So some things still are the same. Well good night and hop e the mail fairies come thursday! Bren
I usually get mail today, but didn't. I'm thinking everything will be a little late this week due to monday's holiday. I have to work a 24 hour shift starting today at 8pm so I will not be here tomorrow when my post man comes. I do love when he puts the letter directly in my hand. But my step mom said she'd call me as soon as he delivers our mail. I thought they did the gas chamber last week so glad to know they did it today. So we're thinking BS is going to be mid to end of next week? I was getting a head of myself I thought it was this week. By this time next week I will be in Great Lakes sight seeing...OMG I can not wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anyone heard from Kelly?!?!?!?I don't think I've talked to her in a few days.
I am driving and if anyone needs to be picked up from the airport let me know, it will save you time and money for a cab or bus. Just thought I'd trow that out there.
Well, ladies I've got to get ready for work now. I'm still getting used to being a working mother. I'm so ready for next week!!! Love you all and talk to yall very soon!
Is anyone staying at the Staybridge? I haven't heard of a soul that's staying there. I am very excited to meet you all. I know I would have been lost without this website and the friendship I have found here. And you're right,we should make this a long term relationship. I guess we can just keep this group as is PIR 6/11/10?
do a search on this site for Staybridge. I did it for the Red Carpet Inn and found comments, you might also find comments on that hotel.
I was just hoping some of this group might be staying there, too.
Hi girls - I've missed chatting with you all! The weather here in Colorado has been so nice that we've been staying outside until dark which is about 9:00. I keep N4M open at work so I can follow the discussions but it has been so busy that is about all I can do. I haven't heard from Kelly this week. Loved to hear that Tynan's mom got a phone call...pretty sneaky! I am just out of my mind excited about next week! Can you believe it's almost here??!! Brenda I think I'm going to need a huge box of Kleenex Friday. I get so emotional just thinking about the graduation ceremony - what is it going to be like actually seeing it? Destinye thank you for the offer to drive anyone from the airport. I rented us a car - hope that goes well. I've never done that before. I want to make sure I have very clear directions from the airport to the hotel. I can't decide if we will take the car or the shuttle to the ceremony Friday. On one hand it would be nice not to have to worry about where I'm going and to be dropped off right where we need to be but on the other hand do I have to worry about when the shuttle is leaving to go back to the hotel? What are you ladies going to do?
Hi Kelly, glad your back we wondering what happen to you! We are also renting a car hat Ohare and I think we have decided to take the shuttle from the Ramada< they told me they leave by 6:45 a.m. and take you up the road to the base (about 10 minutes). Then after the ceremony I think the shuttles run every 15minutes until 12:00 or 12:30. I have read alot of post on this site that said when you take your car in the base parking lot you wait alot longer till they check the vehicle and your I.D'sand make sure you have the pass!!! I also read that if you park on base when you go to leave the ceremony you are tied up in traffic. The other option is to park one lot down which is the Metra parking lot ($2.00) walk on to the base and after the ceremony you walk off the base and go to that lot.
I am prettty sure Kyle won't want to go to the NEX because they say it is so crowded after the PIR and he is just going to want to get to the hotel. We can always go to the base the next day to do some shopping at the NEX that is why I printed the passes out. Hope that is a little helpful. Talk later Bren
