Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Got my call about 1pm PDT, and had two letters waiting for me at home. She is doing great, says BC sucks and she can't wait for it to be over but she says it is doable. She is sick, a runny nose, and was coughing a bit by the end of the conversation, but says the whole division is sick. She is counting down the days. She says the days pass strangely, they go by so fast, but when she looks back she is surprised at all the things they did that day. She is passing all her tests and says she will do everything in her power not to get asmoed. She doesn't want to be there any longer than she has to be. Yay for determination!

yeah they all are sick my sr was coughing and he sound stuffy. But other than that he sound really good. He also has passed all his test. I am so proud of him i told him to keep pushing forward we only have 5 weeks to go. just think next week in the mid point. It all down hill after that :)

I think they're all sick at this point. Everyone (including Joe's dad) said that on OC day, they all need to get a big, fat lung full of it and it'll kick the Recruit Crud they've caught. It's pretty dreadful, but they WILL feel better...

Ok, ladies! What is wrong with me????? I spoke with my SR today. He is doing well (except for the cold) and is passing all of his tests. But since I got off the phone with him this afternoon, I cannot seem to stop crying. I thought this was supposed to get easier. However, I seem to miss him even more now! Is it just me???? Are any of you feeling this way as well??

I'm sure it's not just you, Christa!
I'm at the other end of the spectrum right now. I was high as a kite over talking to him today and now I'm frustrated and feeling like I'm less important than his fiancee; like he only wanted to talk to her about what is going on and just called me because she didn't answer her phone. (I know this is a COMPLETELY irrational feeling and I'm kicking myself for even thinking this way but I'm so insecure right now...)

LOL... Well, I hope that he will marry one day. But since he is only 20 I am hoping it will not be any time in the near future. LOL! I dread the day when I am not the most important female in his life!

It's a whole lot easier when you love the girl he's gonna marry!
I just found out that some of the "family-of-choice" we have from Scarborough Renaissance Festival have decided to get together and raise enough money for Joe's fiancee and I to get to PIR!
Yeah, I'm totally in tears today.

Wow that is great law and trust me from a girlfriend prespective that its hard for us sharing them. We always feel like we are second to the mothers. No one can ever replace there mom. My sr called me first and we talked for about 20 mins then he asked me to three way his mom in so she spoke with him for a little too. It was nice.
@Christa i know exactly how you feel but i am trying to not think about it like i am just trying to stay postive that he sounded so happy and focus. Just keep postive. And tomorrow is letter day for me yyyeeeaahhhh
