My future DIL got her letter from him today.  I certainly hope that this means mine comes tomorrow...

I appreciate the insight from you Desiree... I'm sure being a significant other is really tough too!  I didn't think about things like that.

I know Desiree.  I am trying.  I know that tomorrow will definitely be a brighter day!!  :)

And, I hope that when my SR falls for that special someone, that she is as loving and supportive as you are of your SR!

Amen, Christa!

I know Robin is supportive of Joe, but Desiree?  You got the market cornered on commitment to supporting your SR!  Good on ya!  :)

Thanks ladies its nice to see that people actually see that. I love my sr with everything inside me and will do anything for him. It made me so happy to know that he is happy. If I was to say that this is easy its not by any means. I have my good days and bad days but I always remember that the man I am supporting is well worth the wait. I also remind my self that he loves and misses me too. And ladies I am pretty sure that when they find the right one she will be as supportive and commited as I am to my sr. It takes a special women to be a military wife.but I am ready for it can't wait to make him my husband. And thanks again ladies for the support because without all of you I don't think I would be able to make it through those lonely rough days but you ladies are always there to give me the push I need to keep going.
This is great for those of us learning what they are going through!  I'm glad so many got the phone calls.  Mine cried the entire time, but not sobbing tears, more like release tears since she was talking to mom.  She's one of the youngest in her division.  The picture I posted is of her and her sister.  I didn't think it would be wrong, since you can't see their faces.  She thinks she will be sent to Florida for school and has to leave at 2am Saturday morning following PIR.  I'm bummed, but she asked if I would go with her.  I will do my best.  We are lucky that we can drive to PIR.  I'm also lucky that she is a good writer, so I got her letters when I got home.  I was surprised to learn they were integrated division.  I'm so grateful to have found this thread!

Personally, I think we should all meet up at PIR and sit together during the ceremony.

When I wrote to my son, I told him about you women and how strong and helpful you all are for me.  I told him to let his shipmates know about this site and maybe their moms and significant others can find support with us, just as I have found it with you...

I would love for us to all sit together i think that would great. It will be really nice to meet the women that have help me through this. Let me know if you ladies are up to this. And i know i am not a mom and i am only a girlfriend but we all suffer from this process.
Sounds like a great idea to me, ladies!  I would love to meet each and every one of you!  And I would be honored to sit with you as we watch our Sailors march through those doors at PIR!!!
Yes, great idea! Wonderful way to show support for div 322! Can't wait to meet all of you and your SRs.
I believe this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship...  :D
Do any of you ladies get on the Navy for Moms Chat on here regularly?
Hey ladies i have a question. I want to send a big envelope to my sr so that he can store all his letters there. I wanted to know if any of you ladies have done that. Also i printed out some labels for my sr. I am not sure if they are able to use them. I wasnt sure if i should put them on envelopes for him or should i just mail them like that and let him put them on. If you ladies have any answers to this please let me now?
