Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 319 & 320. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Just what does a day off mean in bootcamp? I mean, I know I have 2 types of day's off. The first, and most common is the one were I spend most of my day cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and grocery shopping . But then there are the other much better days off were I get to actually relax and do something I enjoy. Hmmmm... I wonder, Is a good day off in bootcamp not being yelled at? or do they get to do anything? or just lay around and sleep?

I'm so sorry for the news Prd. Hang tight there. He is still in and going towards PIR!!
My grandson is in Div 319 too. It is hard to swallow, but it is true; sometimes what seems to be the worst thing that could happen, turns out to be a really good thing when you get some time-distance away from it. Not always what WE would plan and want for our kids, but when we are praying for them.....we have to trust that what happens is for the best. His new job might turn out to be better than he could have planned. Also he will be tested and cared for with the asthma.
He did not have that on his entry physical, so it must appear he developed it while in the service? That will be medical coverage for life for that. Be strong and keep praying.
I'm praying for you and your son.

My son had to be tested before he could swear in. He also had childhood adthma one time during football practice when he was 8 years old. He had to go through a breathibg test at our regular doctors office and submit that. Then that was still denied for a waver so he had to go and have another test, were they tried to induce an asthma attack. While the sude effects coukd have left him with a decreased lung capasity it was worth the risk ad he did not have asthma and his waver wad approved. So all might not be lost and he may still be able to have the job he wants. Guess it will depend on what is available at the time he is approved.

My son wants us to send his Bible. He said that they have someone that reads scripture every night. He always uses the King James version because that is what he is used to so he wants his to read. He asked his Dad to write down some uplifting scripture for him to read when he is tired and down. I hope it inspires him and anyone he shares it with.

I sent a small Bible with my son & wrote addresses / phone numbers in it also. I hope he's not neglecting that area of his life while at BC. I always include an encouraging verse or short Devotional in all my letters to him. That's great that your son is asking....

I got a letter from my son today and he said he went to Sailors for Christ and said he really liked it and wanted to go again. That is saying something coming from my boy. I was very happy to hear it.
