For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 319 & 320. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Finally got a letter!!! Relief is an understatement ....he was very upbeat, saying things like it's not as bad as I thought it would be, & the food is great! He said they all call him "Mississippi" & come over to him at night just to hear him talk lol. This letter did my heart so good :)

I did that yesterday. I sat down to lunch at the break table n started reading other moms posts about getting letters. No being able to wait I went home n waited for the mailman. I felt like a little kid at christmas when she gave me his letter. It was the bright spot in my day. Your will come soon!

My letter was upbeat too. He sounded excited to have gotten his dog tags n uniform. He is proud to be on his way to becoming a sailor. I will ask him about your son Missippi in my next letter to him. Shall I tell him to leave the poor boy alone n let him sleep?

Ha! No...he said they are getting 8 hrs of sleep every night so he's obviously good with that.

I finally got a letter today. Then, tonight, a phone call. I was so flustered I can't even remember what was said. I certainly wasn't expecting that. He said he answered a question correctly and was rewarded with a 5 minute phone call, which seemed like it was only 1 minute. It was wonderful. He said he will be able to call again next week, so I am assuming they are going to let them start making calls. Hooray.

We got out first letter today form our son Joe. He says things aren't that bad and missing us is the hardest part. He received his dog tags and uniform and is feeling very proud to be an American !

I got 2 more letter's today. He said he passed his swim test easy but is worried about the physical one. He sound great and loves the food there. He said if anyone is hungry it is their fault. They offer so many choices. It is such a relief to hear from him and he sounds good.

The first letter can pull at your heart strings a lot. They can be homesick, they are getting yelled a lot, nothing seems to be going well and they might even question why they decided to do this.
The second letter should be better as they are getting a little more settled into the routine. The third letter may go either way, but by the fourth letter things will look much brighter, the division will be doing better as a team (although you may here that some are still talking too much), the RDC aren't yelling quite as much and they will be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
