For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

I came home to two letters from my son and as soon as I finished reading them and wiping my tears, he called!! What a great day this turned out to be. It was so great to hear his voice, I sure miss him. He said he is doing really well but that he missed everyone at home so much and he misses his dogs :) I cannot wait to see him! Counting down the days...

great news! That means I'm staying home today (it's 8.30 am here!), with my phone in my hand and no vacuum cleaner!! Haven't heard from him at all, yet, so it would be great to get a call! Bask in it, Beth!

I didn't get a letter yet!! Hoping tomorrow. But I did get a call. He sounded so good!! Misses everybody. But really misses his little brother!! They were inseparable all summer long!! But they will make it!! I miss him so much but he sounded so good I can't help but feel happy for him!!

Your SR can make two phones calls. My SR makes 3 phone calls every time the can call. So please tell your SR that it is ok.

Sheree I'm so sorry to hear about your SR. I hope it isn't anything serious. Being a medical condition he should not feel like a failure. I know that is easy for us to say when he is devastated. Special prayers for him.
I had a good day! I got a call from my SR and then when I got home I also had a letter. :) :) He is doing good but still misses home. He said they are getting more sleep so that helps. He said Div 014 is doing okay but needs work. He said one of the guys was at the hospital (I hope it wasn't your son, Sheree) and came back with news of current events cause there was a TV on. Otherwise they don't know what it going on in the outside world. He said it would be nice to get news articles.
Barb, I sure hope you get your call or letter soon. Now I'd like to know how your SR is getting along. Lol. Any word on being able to make it to PIR?
