Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi HawaiiKat!  :)

Posted to our PIR group.....2 letters in my box today  :)

:)  yea!  I bet the work day can't end soon enough.

Yea! I was really thinking today would be the day I got a letter, but no such luck (he probably wrote to his girlfriend in England instead of me!). Maybe tomorrow...

I hope (tomorrow).  Oh, I wrote my son to ask if he knew the other recruits from Colorado.

Too cool DeborahRC!!!  :)     glad you got your call and that she is doing well    :)

Nothing in my mailbox today (which I dashed to as soon as I saw the mail lady).  I wasn't expecting a call as is into the evening but, my son called an hour ago.  We talked about 5 minutes and then he said he had to go.  Called back a minute later, false alarm; Chief wasn't yelling at him and, we talked for another 20 minutes.  Fighting a cold but, overall is doing well.  ---he's counting the days.  Me too, son.   :)

My son mentioned the same...that they may get to call every week.  I hope, I hope!

My son called today, but not me... he called his girlfriend in England. I am being selfish, but wish they had time to talk to both mom and girlfriend! (he called her first last Saturday and she had her phone off, so he called me next, otherwise probably wouldn't have heard from him last week, either!) At least she was great and texted me to tell me she heard from him and he sounded really good. No letters. My husband tells me I am expecting to much out of my boy to call and write to his mom... but, I have written him a letter every day for the last 14 days, so I hoped I would get at least one letter! OK, will stop my selfish rant now... glad he is doing well :-)

addgrey,  I'm glad he's doing well too and that his girlfriend is communicating with you.  I think anyone of us moms would feel exactly the same way.  Hang in there mom.  You have a son sized hug waiting at PIR for you  :)

Thank you! I am really trying hard to be understanding! :0) His girlfriend is sweet and I am glad he did get to talk to her. I have just been saving up a ton of questions, so hopefully I will get a call next weekend.

My son is in div 24 as well. We got a much needed call last night. We are very excited for his graduation. I hope to get to know some parents on here. My sons name is josh, he will be attending A school in Great Lakes
Hello everybody! I discovered you last night and cannot believe the WEALTH of information I have gotten!! I am barely making reservations for graduations because I panicked after realizing most of you were all set!! I have a question. Will our boys be allowed OFF BASE for Thanksgiving? Or they can only spend it with us ON base??
