Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 067 and 068

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

White Puppy waving

Momof4, I get them at sherv.net

we were going to head back home early the Sunday after PIR but just had a discussion with my husband and so we will leave that Monday so we can spend extra time with our son!!! so excited to get that many days with him, I know he will start school Monday and we wont see him that day but it gives us more time with him instead of leaving early Sunday and not having the time with him. YAY

Good morning ! It's Trivia Tuesday ,,,,yeah , I hope we can do it today , would love to see my sr in those CAMOS.

Hope everyone is doing great and staying busy and warm. I have comfrimed with Sarge and so ahppy to get that out of the way and to meet everyone . I got the challenge coin and case yesterday and our SR sent more letters that we got yesterday these were written on New years I think ... Looks like pfa going on this week and still going strong . said cant wait to have some chocolate of something . Wearing my snow boots today is Florida , who would have thought lol. Good luck to every one and their SR this week . and let's win that Trivia . If I were to win I would ask for both div 067 and 068 together ...

I did want to talk to everyone about this and I have heard it before, seeing how our SR ( soon to be sailors are in a minute to minute structure, my nephew just grad from Airforce last week and his family saw this too. When they get liberty they are so use to being told what to do , he was unsure of what to do while on liberty , he kept saying I dont know what to do , I am waiting for someone to tell me what I am suppose to do , this is normal and I also saw it with my son as well .

My daughter actually wrote in her last letter that I got from her "I am actually afraid that I won't know how to act or function in the civilian world, the indoctrination is so deep here that is a real fear".  I honestly don't know how to respond to that.  She will always be my little girl but that sentence sure made me realize that she is not who she was when I said goodbye at the MEPS Center in November.

where and how did you order the challenge coin? I have tried to find it on the website but haven't had any luck.

Here is the link for challenge coins.  I ordered mine from Northwest Territorial Mint but you can also get them here.

got my sons challenge coin in the mail last week, and praying for all of the recruits as well as my son, they will be different when they get out of BC, I know I was when I completed basic in the Army so its ok, I am sure they will want first a long hot shower, and a nap, and a good family meal and some sweets! and knowing my son probably just want to hang out in the hotel with me and his dad and maybe Saturday or Sunday go look around but he is just so laid back and I figure he will just want some down time for awhile, which is cool with me and his dad, cant wait to meet yall at the meet and greet on the 23rd, keep those prayers going up and keep a positive attitude! they are working very hard and will be having BS soon I think I haven't heard when but know they will be really busy

Hubby just emailed me at work and said "surprise!"....two letters came in the mail today from Great Lakes!!! YAY!!!!!

My daughter is older (25) and really laid back too.  A real home body so I'm expecting the same from her Joni - a hot shower and she'll probably want us to get take out Friday and lay around in sweats and catch up, telling her daddy all her Navy Bootcamp Stories!  I'm totally cool with that.  Maybe we will go out to dinner Saturday since we have the time (she's staying in GL for A School)

14 days to go!!!!!

my son turns 25 tomorrow, and he is staying in GL for A school as well, I definitely know my son he is gonna want to hang out and just talk, and I will enjoy every moment of it!! we will be arriving on the 23rd which is my birthday and leave that following Monday so we have more time with him Sunday instead of leaving early sunday around noon like originally planned
