Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 213 and 214

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We received our 2nd phone call todsy! He sounds good!
We were able to speak for 28 mins.
He loves it now. Big homesick adjustment after week 2 but great now!
I love him and super proud of how brave he is.
He has learn to fold clothes and make a bed !!!
I miss terribly though but it will get better.

I missed the call from my SR on Sat. Heard the voicemail - doing fine. But today I checked my cell about something and saw that he had also tried THAT number and I STILL missed it! How bad is that! Now I remember WHY I hate Boot camp so much. Can't wait til there's REGULAR communication.

YEAH!!! Got our first letter from our recruit! He is excited about 9mm pistol training..of course. And the food is "actually pretty good". Anytime he can get a Taco Salad he's happy.

But hearing how our letters are welcome, wanted but always bring tears has me ambivalent about all the letters. Oh, I'll keep writing, but he wrote that he'll have "a fountain of tears" at PIR. I CAN'T WAIT!

I'm looking forward to our letter, what is your son's first name?My grandson is Evan. who knows they may be friends!!!!! Good to hear from another Div 214 family

Richard is not very outgoing... I fear he is a sort of loner. But maybe this situation is helping to change that. He's actually Div 213, but I know the guys all room together.

Where will Richard go to A school?

Charlotteh- I am sorry for the delay, but we've been on vacation for 3 weeks...

Richard is a CS (culinary specialist) rating. That means school will be in Virginia.

My Recruit will be staying at Great Lakes, I wish Richard all the luck in his Navy Future

PRAYING FOR BATTLESTATIONS. YOU GO, NAVY!!!!

with Battlestations probably tonight, guess we would have heard if our Recruit hadn't passed ALL tests, don't you think???

Unless some are passing final tests TODAY, I'd agree with you. Also it is possible (not likely as far as I have seen) that a few may not pass BS. We all must wait til they call, I guess.

IF YOU HEAR, PLEASE POST! This is nerve wracking!
