Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 311 AND 312

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Has anyone with kids in 312 gotten calls yet?

Hello,

We have gotten one on 8/8. Nothing else so far.

Just 2 Saturday s ago.

Hello,

I signed up for the meet and greet and had no response. It's been over a week. I know they are very busy but I want to make sure they got my RSVP. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Lisa Lou
Where did you get info on a meet and greet. I've found nothing for that on the boot camp website.

it's on navy for moms .under events

Thank you.
Well my SR is a Yoeman... A Laundry PO and he will be carrying the "stick”. He said he messed up somehow and he had to IT which is intense training. Bet he won't do it again. Still loves it though. Said he has so many friends and close ones to talk to.
Third 96 My son is responsible for laundry, too and said he's become friends with a few of the others doing laundry. Our boys probably know each other. :-)
Finally got to speak to my son yesterday. He missed his call before because he'd had his wisdom teeth out. I've never been so happy to hear "Mom!" when I answered the phone and hear him laugh upon me yelling out his name.
Hi all, my daughter's bf is sr ship 11 div 312 pir 9/18/15. She received a third phone call from him yesterday and she said he was sick with a cold and couldn't understand him very well. He has been homesick, exhausted from no sleep, infected big toe from new boots etc. they ended the convo in tears, i felt SO bad, i decided to send her (with my husband as a chaparone) to graduation. She is on his list, my husband isn't and that's ok, we understand. long story short. His parents kicked him out 7 weeks before he was to leave for bootcamp, trying to teach him a life lesson. Not the way i'd parent but... we invited him into our home, with strict rules about appropriate behavior until he shipped out. He had no contact with his parents, although we all tried to reach out, he left them with nothing on his back but a shirt, jeans and shoes. Sad situation, anyway, my heart breaks to think he is SO alone at BC. We write him every week and although my daughter told him she probably wouldn't be able to go to graduation, we were able to find airfare and hotel and car rental for under $300 for both daughter and hubby to go see him graduate. Does anyone else have a son at the same ship and div? Would lovevto reach out and connect as i feel like his adoptive Mom. I am so proud that he took the steps to graduate from homeschooled high school, and follow his dream of being in the Navy. Thanks for listening!
Mommu98. I'm sure your daughter's boyfriend will forever be grateful for what you're doing for him. Keep sending him letters. My son told me they all look forward to that the most and anything colorful that comes in gets shared with everyone. Their days are really long and being tired and sick can make anyone weepy. Add family issues to it and that's a lot to deal with, especially someone very young. I agree with tbird96 in that he will definitely have a sense of belonging in the Navy.
