Hey all you Ship 11 Division 216 people I finally got my phone call yesterday. My son too sounded a little stressed, had a cold? I think he is taking all this very very seriously -maybe too much. He said he is looking forward to Memorial Day, thy get a little break and he can't wait to take a long (er) shower -it has been really hot there. He is Master of Arms and said Chief told him as of right now he is shipping out he Wednesday after graduation -so I am excited that we get to spend some time with him after graduation. Anyone else driving in for graduation? Advice -easier to use own car or get a shuttle and what about when on liberty to Chicago? Drive or shuttle?? Everyday someone adds something new that I haven't even thought about -still learning!
Master at arms? Like second in command?
Master at Arms is the Navy's equivlent of Law Enforcement
Oh okay thank you I'm still unfamiliar with a few things
Not a problem, so am I.
Has anyone heard when our Division 11's BS-21 is expected? Exact date? I haven't heard and was wondering if anyone had...let me kfnow.
I haven't heard anything about this yet. But tomorrow is letter day, so if they were given a date, maybe we'll find out tomorrow! It's supposed to be during that last week though, right? Because that's when they get to make their "I'm a Sailor now!" call :)
Yup Yup!!...I was just thinking maybe they knew the date...it's coming down to the wire and I'm getting excited!!! Keep me posted if you hear anything!! I'll do the same!
My husband is on Navyfordads.com and he showed me a break down schedule for boot camp. What I read was that they are doing firefighting this week and next week should be BST-21. The last week which would be June 6th should be marching. But I agree, I would love to find out for sure, hopefully in their letters they will have some kind of date for us.
Yipee, I got a quick 5 minute phone call today. I'm so glad. Things are going great for them and the reason he got to have his call was they did great on their last march. Battlestations will be the 9th he said so plan on them being dead dog tired. He sounded so great and upbeat, it makes me just want to smile and cry at the same time.
Laurel,

I'm soooooooo happy you got a phone call. I cannot wait to go home and see if I got a letter...it seems I get letters on Thursdays!! You say BS-21 is on the 9th? Wow..so that's Wednesday evening, eh? I think I'll be on an airplane heading out there when they finish...shoot! I thought BS-21 would be a little earlier than Wednesday..glad the division is doing great...how exciting...two weeks from today and we'll be at the Meet n Greet!!! YEAH!
Hey, Yep we got letters too. I can't wait to see him and to finally meet all of you. I'm counting down the days and I know everyone else is too. We will be on the plane as well when they are doing BS-21 so I'll have to remember to transfer the home phone to our cell phone so we know when their done.
