hey KVI, my daughter is the one in the navy, sorry i didnt metion that earlier. I live in south carolina. we will be flying into chicago and i looking forward to seeing my baby again. I also was hoping for a letter this weekend but hopefully it will be next week. We have only recieved her first call when she just arrived at BC. Im also looking forward to her other calls. you are welcome too.
our daughter  called us the other day..I got scared!  but she needed info about drs and addresses. funny we are going to S C in april with our younger daughter..Isle of Palms / Charleston area for softball. Yea I miss my dau but she wanted this so we support her 100%..our son is in the Marine Corp reserves leaving for deployment in July..we've written  Nichole but haven't heard back yet.  Not sure about meet and greet thing..we did it for Marine Corp graduation and it was not what we expected. we filled bags for stand alone Marines ..so alittle leary about planning it.

im glad that your daughter got to call you and isle of palms is a very pretty place to visit. Im also glad that you have a son in the marines.

Yeah if we dont have a meet and great on thursday night it wont the end of the world however though if someone wants to take that on besides us they can, right, ;)

This wjat my daughter wants too so we are bery very supportive too. Im hoping by the end of next week ill get a letter from her

Liddia, thanks so much for starting a group for Div 165!  We received th box and form letter but nothing since then.  I thought my son would be the oldest in the group but Shaun's mom beat me !  My son is 31.  We live in a suburb of Austin, TX.  We bought our tickets this week when we got the official graduation date.  We are flying in to chicago so if he is leaving the day we do then we will get to be with him at the airport .  I am assuming he will be flying out of O'Hare ??  We are staying at the Ramada Inn  Would love to hear any news from your sailors in this group
The Ramada Waukegan/Gurnee hosts a Meet & Greet on Thursdays before PIR from 6-8pm, just not sure if you have to be staying there to attend.
thank you robin for the information
welcome texas mom, i havent recieved anything yet besides the form letter. My daughter donated her items that she wore to boot camp. i want to be flying to Ohara and I might be staying at motel 6. hopefully next weekend i can pay for the travel plans.
I know sometimes it is cheaper to fly into Midway instead of O'Hare.  Think I am going to check both and see what the driving time is from each to RTC.
tex mom you are welcome

Texas Mom,

My son is also in this Div.  We received his box last week and the next day got his letter with his graduation information.  We made our reservation for our flights and we are staying at the Ramada where the Meet & Greet is.  We are flying into O'Hare, this will be fun we are from Williamsburg, VA need I say more:)

I look forward to hearing from other families.

Thanks

Nate's Mom
