Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Yes, please do share your letters as I get NONE! Seriously, I got one letter that said mom, I only have three minutes to write, I love you and I miss you, please tell Anna (his GF) to write. And then a smiley face. :-) Seriously...I wonder if he is sick, or had his wisdom teeth pulled, or if something is wrong.
OKay the first letter is a little bit from everyday last week...
Monday: nothing of importance lol. normal day. study and pt.
Tuesday: went to a fake ship for the first time.. chris was randomly picked to call orders over the intercom.. said it was badass. then they practiced inspection.
Wednesday: They had their PFA (fitness test) Chris passed them all. And got a 5.0 on inspection. then had too march alot for practice for this weeks test.
Thursday: Gun range for practice and studied and marched all day
Friday;: Live Gun Range. chris didnt get expert but hopes he got sharpshooter. He said it was badass and his favorite thing so far.
Saturday: First day to sleep in (6am) they practice marching all day and studied..

ALSOOOO CHRIS SAID THEY'VE EARNED 3 FLAGS TOTAL. ONLY 2 MORE THEY CAN EARN BUT THE CHANCE TO EARN EM HAVNT COME YET!!!

what for? acedemics, athletics, forgot the 3rd.
what does ur div flag look like? One side has a ship and a sub on it. other side has 2 bald eagles, anchor and a couple of swords.
whens BS21? idk.
Gas chambers? this week. im excited for some reason.
what u get on ur test? Test 1 i got 4.6 outta 5.0 which mean i missed 4 out of 50 questions.
how did u do on inspections? 5.0 really good.
how many do u have? too many to count.

I am so proud of my son. Sometimes when they are teenagers you wonder if they ever heard a word you said.
I am sharing part of a letter he wrote to his g/f. I am still in tears. What a sweet young man he is. I love that boy so much.
