I'm so glad the letters have started to trickle in, and am happy for everyone who has received one. Here's hoping everyone is happy in the coming week!! :)
I received three letters today!  I love his sense of humor!!!

That's awesome! I have decided there is no schedule, even within our own division as to when we will receive mail...I am so very grateful we have all received at least one letter. I laughed and cried all at the same time on Saturday when I received his letters...he likes the food....didn't see that one coming! he has made many friends...I appreciate that, no one can replace the familiarity and love of their family, but having that connection and support is essential to get them through these last weeks. When my son said he would give anything to hear me yell at him to clean his room, it was a moment I can honestly say has changed me forever, it's when I finally knew that the last 19 years that I have at times been "the worst mom ever!"  I guess I wasn't after all. Have a blessed day!

Division 356 family-today I missed the call I have been waiting for since Sept. 1. I walked out of the bedroom, left it charging on my nightstand, even at the highest ringtone setting, I didn't hear it over the exhaust fan of the stove while making dinner. We are a military family and I know better then to even go to the bathroom without my phone...I am sad. My hope and prayer is that he has called his grandparents, or best friend, anyone who could help feel connected to home. I feel like I have let him down, not being here for him when he called. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep your phone with you ALL THE TIME. Turn it up. Let me be the only one who makes this mistake.
he called back...what a blessing! he shared so many details with me about his division. If you would like details or spoke with your SR today, and have details you wouldn't mind sharing with me, PLEASE send me a private message and we can share our joy! and don't forget...keep your phone on and with you!
My boyfriend call today. Now I know things are okay with him.
I had such a good call with my son, he is learning and meeting some great people.
Kimberlyann you just made my heart break with that post - I am overjoyed he was able to call you back! :)

I received my first letter and first call today. He said they can receive letters every day, (I'm sure he meant except Sunday, since the USPS does not deliver first class mail on Sunday) but that they can only SEND mail on Sunday, which means it would actually go out Monday. So the schedule must depend on all the mail carriers between RTC and your home!!
1/2 hour phone call was received yesterday by his girlfriend and he has asked for stamps and a copy of the questions for his friend to send to his mom.
In my call, my SR mentioned his best friends so far are his former bunkmate, who is from Cuba, and his current bunkmate who is from Omaha...I think. If either of these could be your SR, send me a message!! :)
Ok, so apparently I'm an idiot! I got a letter from my SR today, and in it he was once again telling me about the friends he's made. Turns out they're from Cuba & Oregon!! (not to be confused with Omaha!!) I guess I was just too excited to get to talk to him that I didn't even think to take notes!! ;)
I received three letters today and his mother got one. He seems to be doing okay. I just know I miss him so much right now.
