Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 017 and 018

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

@Violet1 Me too!  We also received a call today around 2pm.

Like!!!

So good to hear that Violet 1. My daughter is with your sons div also. How is it going with them?

I hope by now you have heard something from your daughter, Cindy, :-).  My son called on Saturday also. He sounded pretty good.   So far it, he feels the division is starting to "get it together".  It was a relief to hear his voice!

I received a slew of letters today! Ship12 Div17 He dated each one. Has been writing since 9/28 thru 10/7. Fun to read them in order and visualize the changes occurring. Overall, he is doing great! Yeah:)

That's so great.  It makes me even more anxious to hear from mine.

Hi all, my Daughter is on ship 12 div. 18. I got my first letter today, very emotional for me. She sounds good, so that made me feel better. She misses home, but is hanging in there. She said they all encourage and support each other, sounds like a great group of kids.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only parent from Ship 12 Div 17 that hasn't heard anything. I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong.

Yah! I got a letter from my daughter today: ) so good to hear from her, still no phone call, but I'm happy.  It wasn't dated, but she wrote that it was week 1 day 7.  And the only time they have to write is on Sundays.  She said that her division started out with 76, but they are down to 66, that some got sent home because they were sick.  Said the days go by fast, they are so busy.

First call & first letter today (ship 12 div 018).  She sounded great.  It made me smile & my heart happy.

I missed my call! Does anyone know if they get to make another call if they didn't get through to anyone?

I missed my daughters call also, ship 12 dub 17. She said they usually get to make calls on Saturday. Luckily, she was able to connect with her boyfriend. I was so sad
