Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 347-348.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Has anyone been able to purchase refundable airline tickets? Our little Fresno airport doesn't offer Southwest or Spirit so we've got to go with another airline. We would really like the assurance that we can change our flight date if needed. We figure the cost to to drive and pay for parking at a main hub (LA/San Francisco) will equal staying home and flying out of Fresno.
SoccerMom - we will probably book our stay at Homewood Suites as well as we like staying with them. What was your nightly cost with them? We are also hoping to rent a car from Enterprise since my Dad works for them. He wouldn't be happy if we rented from another car rental company. :) I think we will be making our reservations this weekend.
It was $74.00 per night for the homewood suites. Make sure you use the code from the brochure that came with form letter. Did you receive another letter yet??
Bradsmom :) yay! I hope we all get to meet at PIR :)! I am in the process of finishing our travel arrangements. We will fly in from Mississippi :). I would like to know the answer to your question too, to be honest I am confused about a lot of thinlol. I hope we all receive a letter today, I'm soo anxious and ready to check the mail! My husband said in his last letter, that everyone in their division gets along really well! Hope you all are having a great day♥

I hope we get to meet also. I got a letter from Brad today but I would like to get a phone call like some others did. Brad said he's met a lot of people and they really make BC more bearable.

We were deciding between the "Meet & Greet" at Flanagan's or Sundance Saloon.  It sounds like there may be helpful information at the "M&G's".

My son will go on to be a Corpsman also

I just posted on the main page that I got a call this afternoon. It sounds like they are all doing well except for having their wisdom teeth pulled. :) He said keep the mail coming....:)

I received a call also.  Sounds like they're getting along very well.  I was worried about the first envelope I sent after reading  what should and shouldn't be sent. It was a #11 instead of #10, but he said it was not a problem at all.  Hope everyone gets their phone call tonight!  Nice to hear their voice!

Hi....I got a phone call yesterday while I was at work. We are in California so it was around 3:30pm. I almost didn't answer the call because I had someone at my desk! Glad I excused myself. He sounded good and says he is having fun. When I told him not to tell his instructors that he said "We already did". I thought that "WE" soounded very positive. Sounds like our Divisions are working well together!!

My daughter called!!!  It was great to hear from her!  We both rambled on and on.  I t hink we talked for about 16 minutes!

She was sick all day on Tuesday.  She said a lot of the SRs were sick :(  Just cold-like symptoms.  She sounded so great!

Counting down the weeks!

Don't know why but I sure am missing my SR today!!! I guess we're half way there but I find myself wishing it was Oct 26th!

My son is div 347 and i finally got a call from him today.  He sounded good but tired.  I can'twait until October 26th!!

We're flying into Milwaukee and staying at the Spring Hill Suites in Waukegan.  We're planning to attend Sarge's "Meet and Greet" at the Sundance Saloon.

That is so neat that our sons are right beside each other!  When I told my son his name, I just said that I knew there were a lot of people and he probably wouldn't know him yet!
