Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 347-348.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

KJmom,

I think it's great that they are right next to each other and that you and I have met up on this site. What are the chances of that happening? I am so glad that he is getting to meet so many people from other areas and making new friends. I'm sure Trent misses his old buddies from home but new buddies sure help in their situation.

I'm still trying to talk my husband into attending one of the socials. He's wants to do as much as we can while visiting back there. We are driving to Kentucky for few days after we see Trent off to A school at the airport. We have family there so we are making the long drive as it's as close as we ever gonna get to Kentucky anytime soon.

My Daughter is in Ship 12 DIV 347.  I've only gotten 1 letter from her so far, but I'm sure she's very busy.  I continue to write everyday.  I'm so anxious for graduation day.  Can't wait to see my future Sailor!  She mentioned in the letter that this week (week 4) is considered 'Hell Week"  Does anyone know what that means?  It scared the %$@# out of me!  LOL

I finally got another letter from  my son on s12/d347.  You should get one soon.  Sorry but I don't know anything about hell week but maybe it is like football hell week were they work out, run and do physical exercise for 8 to 12 hours a day.

According to one site, Hell Week is possibly getting up at 3:30 a.m., inspections, testing and a lot of PT. I'm doing a lot of praying this week. It sounds like our division is going to need it.

Welcome shayshaymomma, my daughter is also in Ship 12 sub 347.

We received 5 more letters today. She said they were having a test this week and her bunkmates were done alphabetical. So our last name starts with a be, any one close with those first few letters. She also said they were getting fitted for there dress uniforms and peanut butters thus week. Hope all if you get letters also.

Hi Byron's wifey! I spoke to my son today and he and your hubby are 2 bunks away from each other & seem to be friends!

It was so nice to talk to him! He said they were starting week 4-2, whatever that means. :) He had to have 1 wisdom tooth removed already and now he has to have 2 ingrown toenails removed. Poor thing! I'm hoping that all this doesn't put him behind on his PIR. He did say he "aced" his weapons test & some other test, and has passed his 1st physical test. He says they get yelled at alot! :) He said hopefully he'll get 1 more phone call before graduation.

Hey bradsmom :)! Yay!! I also received a call from Byron :)! I'm soo happy that we we're able to talk to them! I thought about you after the call and was hoping that you got your call :)! Byron had to get two wisdom teeth pulled and he said it hurt buy he was fine :(! I hope that those ingrown toenails will not put him behind either :( I am happy that they are friends :)! Byron thought it was cool that we met on here lol. Yay for passing too :)!! I hope we get the chance to meet :)!

Hi! Sorry I've been so busy that I haven't been able to get back onto the computer to reply to you. We'll be arriving the day before PIR & not sure whether we're going to the meet & greet or not, or where. Are you planning on attending a meet & greet?

My Fiance is in Div 348 :) got two letters so far and finally got a phone call from him this passed Saturday. It was such a great feeling to be able to hear his voice again! Sadly, I won't be able to attend his his PIR.. So hopefully someone will post a video of it when the time comes!!

Hey everyone! my boyfriend is also in Div 348! Just reading that some of your SRs got wisdom teeth pulled, he mentioned in his last letter that people were getting them taken out and that everyone's cheeks are all puffy. haha:) He says that the division gets along very well. And he also told me all about his RDCs, he has two men and a woman RDC.

I'm hoping for a letter today. My cousin posted on facebook that she received one today and he is working hard. Yay!

We got letters today and my daughter said that Hell weeks started on the 28th. with them having there 2nd PFA, then a weapons turnover inspection on the 28th.

She also said she has become good friends with other female recruits from Ohio, California, Florida and New Jersey. Is there any other mom's on here from those states that have a female recruit in Div. 347??

Hope you all get letters soon and my daughter said they are scheduled for another call on the 19th.
