Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Ship 12 (USS Triton) Divisons 267 and 268 (Brother Divisions)
Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 267 and 268
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

I'm from Idaho. Where will your son be heading to A school at? My son will be in Groton, CT after BC. It's great hearing from others moms. Any letters from your son yet?

Ok great! I believe they are brother divisions and not sure what that means- can anyone explain that? Ship 12 div 267/268 with my son in 268! Can anyone explain this? No letters yet!!

Deanna, There is some info on this topic somewhere on the site. I will see if I can find it again. I think mostly, they train together... but let me see if I can find it:)

Regular numbered Divisions go in Consecutive order starting with 001 at the beginning of the Military Fiscal Year (Oct 1). Regular Divisions are paired up in "Brother" divisions. They will train together and go through Battlestations together. Maybe there is more smewhere else, but I found this under Ships/Divisions:)

From what I see here, none of us have received a letter yet. I'm sure there a few factors involved, but I read on this site, that one reason is that they have to train someone, from the TG to do the mail, so to speak:)
