Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 423 and 424

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Nancy611, that would be my son you're talking about.  My sister in law is Bubb's mom and she texted me telling me about your son so when I got the first call, I asked him about your son & he said that he is one of his best friends now in boot camp.  So happy they have each other.

Yay!!!  I am sure we will get to meet at graduation.  I am very happy they have each other, too!

is he going to A school in Pensacola?

No, he will stay in Great Lakes for his A school.  I told my son to make sure and get email addresses and phone numbers so he can stay in touch with everyone after bootcamp.

Barb-Tyler's mom please accept my invite. I want you to know I got a letter from your son. And it was very nice.

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My son is in 423 and I wish I would have known about this site earlier! His ex girlfriend and he have remained friends and she was thoughtful enough to find this site and send me the link in a message. I appreciate all of the info you all have posted. It must be a guy thing, because his letters don't have a lot of info either. I have only received two letters and hope to hear from him again soon. I am a Navy Wife, but nothing prepared me for the Navy Mom role. I miss him much more than any deployment I've ever experienced with my hubby. I love my hubby, but this is my baby. I see a lot of the Mom's here that have the info - have daughters. Thank God for the integrated unit! LOL!
Oh, I also am not sure if you all are aware of Trivia Tuesday on the RTC Facebook page? Each week at about 11:30 EST they post a question and the first person to get it right gets to request a photo of their SR and ALL of their shipmates! If any of us were to get it right...we would all win! Trivia Tuesday is tomorrow and I'll be there giving it my best! I hope some of you all might join me :-) the page is "U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command"

There is also a Facebook page under PIR 11-08-13 for all 11 divisions.

That was a tough one today.  I am hoping for div 424. to see my son!

Hi Navy family. I am new to the group. My daughter Cera is part of Ship 12 Div 423. She is loving boot camp & loves her bunk mate. They became fast friends and are a lot like she said. She will be going to A school in Pensacola. I am looking forward to meeting people at the Meet & Greet!

Does anyone else have a SR in Ship 12 Div 423? I am looking for someone who might know a Kayla from Mass. I could not hear my daughter that clear so it may not be correct. But she is her bunk mate!

Late Reply but my Ex GF is in  423 with the kayla your looking for and also im friends with the other kayla in that divisons mother on here :)

I have yet to be able to find my daughters bunk mate Kayla's family. I have become friends w/the other Kayla's mom.
