under the groups tab, go to PIR 10/1 and repost this. You may find more folks there. My sons are also ship 13, but div 326. Your sister div is 330 (I think) so they do some stuff together. good luck, and I've noticed that everyday more people join this website.
I was so overjoyed, somebody wrote under my group. My prayers have been answered. thanks bonnien for the insight. I had no idea there was even a sister div, thanks for the insight. What is this about ribbon colors?
My son is also Ship-13 Div 329 PIR 10-1-10!! Yeah!! I did not know if I would find anyone in his division. Welcome aboard!! So nice to find someone in the same division!!
Eileen, I was so excited to have someone else in my son's division. Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking.
I am from Rocky Point, NC which is near Wilmington along the coast. What about you? We are originally from a little town north of Pittsburgh, PA called Butler, PA. What is your son going to A school for? Mine is going to be a Hospital Corpseman. His A school is right across the street from boot camp.
Wwe live just outside of Buffalo, NY in a town called Hamburg. I grew up on Long island, Ny. met my husband and moved out the land of "blizzards". My son is the same going to A school across the street. he will be a EM, electrician's mate. I am a registered nurse, my boss is a Doctor, learned it all in the Navy. He was telling Jay how to "rock" on the boat. If I ever learn how to post pictures on this site, I will. I'll ask my youngest son, he just graduated from Clarkson university, should know something about high tech, he's a mechanical engineer.
I thought I would let Mom's know that my sailor's box came and he had to send back all the toothpaste, brush, shaving stuff that the DEP book said he could take. what gives? they shouldn't tell the kids that they would be able to take these additional items, when they are just going send them back.

Eileen, so good to find someone else in with my guy. hope we find others as well. Booked my hotel , was afraid with 10 div they would book quick. crossing my fingers, toes and praying that all is going well. "no news is good news" I hear.
I haven't booked anything yet. We are traveling with some others and we all have to get on the same boat (no pun intended LOL). That is so cool that they are going to the same A school. Hopefully they will both be granted liberty for the weekend. I hope we get to meet there. I think they should have a meet and greet if I am not mistaken. I guess we will wait and see. So good to hear from you!! Take care! No news if definitely good news!! :)
Got me first letter from my sailor. Glad to know he misses me almost as much as I miss him. One other thing he missed "the television", and my cooking. For all you moms, one other thing he said was that his "division rocks" and he realizes he has a group he will never forget. We all did it right. Our sons and daughters "rock". Can't wait for his next letter.
We got a letter yesterday also. He seems to be upbeat and said that the food was surprisingly good. He said his bunk mate is cool and funny so that is great to hear. He said he can already feel himself maturing and that the guys are great. He also said he may have someone to chill with at A school. I am so glad he is meeting this great bunch of guys. He always did get along with just about anyone. Can't wait to hear from him again. Hopefully a phone call soon. We'll see. Take care!!
Eileen, glad to hear from you. Just sent 3 more letters. one was just clippings of all the sport scores from the paper. I just ordered my ribbons from Lola ribbon queen. all the moms from this site, ship and divisions for our PRI 10-1 are going to be wearing them. that way we will know who the navy4moms are. Tried to add picture but it didn't work. I really am "a dummy". Will try later on. Always good to hear from you.
Hi sailorjay. I just found out today that my son is SHIP 13 DIVISION 330 PIR 10/1. I would like to know more about the ribbons. Thanks,
