For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi! Yes my boyfriend called and said they weren't getting much sleep. They got assigned jobs and had a couple tests. In the letter I Recieved last week he said their leaders got in trouble so they made the whole division write and if they got up theyd be held back a week. I haven't heard much else but I should get letter next wed. or Thursday. My boyfriend is weapons p.o. And trash p.o. He also was asked to help design the divisions flag. He said many of
His shipmates had their wisdom teeth pulled. -

My son too is ship 13/Div 311 & we haven't received a call..;( however I have received letters & he's miserably homesick but said his division was starting to work together, it was dated Aug 19. He said the worst for him is that they're inside for 10-12 hrs/day & has razor burn...lol (he's an avid outdoorsman)& I just really needed to hear his voice this week to know he's ok!! In my heart I know he is but he sounds so down in his letters. He said PT isn't hard but he said people are being lazy & getting more PT.(grrr) my SR passes his baseline PFA & swim quals & made section leader, (he joked if he gets to keep it) & made E2...not sure what all that means, other than a little pay raise!! Please anyone share if they hear anymore on this division I'm trying not to cry every time I see someone got a call! But I am Happy for the ones that are receiving those!

@proudnavymama - Thank you for letting me know a little about what's going on! From what I understand, it should start to get a little easier for the SR's to enjoy BC (hopefully!). Since your SR is an avid outdoorsman, is it safe to assume he is not interested in working on a submarine? To all of the other ship 13/Div 311 members... PLEASE... share!!! It made my heart happy to hear that they are starting to work together... of course... I'm not happy to hear that there are lazy ones (and I'm really hoping my nephew isn't one of the lazy ones!) Congrats, proudnavymama, on your SR making section leader! That's something to be proud of! I don't know what E2 is, either, but congrats!

Our son told us the food is actually pretty good: crab fettuccini for supper one night, and ice cream for dessert another night. He has a cold but got some medicine to cover the sore throat. His ankles are a little sore from all the running (8 miles in 2 days...or so...) He sounded really upbeat and can "see the light at the end of the tunnel." He asked for questions, questions, questions...and letters, letters, letters. :) I posted his request for letters on FB and had several ask for his it so they could write. His ironing time is 4 am, but he usually gets "almost enough" rest. They are up and dressed before the RDC gets there at 6 so they won't get in trouble. :)
It was so good to hear his voice!!!

Apparently my son called while i was leavin work and it straight to VM. Im so upset but he sounded ok and it was nice to hear his voice but im praying he get to call again. Thanks to everyone for the posts on ship 13 div 311 so that i can at least have some idea whats going on. He said he has written a few letters but ive only got one....prayin for more to arrive.

No phone call yet! Boo!!!! I
read that alot of recruits had their wisdom teeth pulled this week. I know my son was supposed to have his done. Perhaps this is a reason for no phone call. I am happy for those of you that have received calls!

I am sure hoping thats the reason. I haven't gotten one either and am so ready to hear his voice! Maybe those that missed it will get to make one soon-keeping my fingers crossed!
