Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 017 and 018

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My recruit is the youngest of my boys at 20 years old we miss him very much. My other sons were in the Navy but have been out for several years things have changed so much since then. My recruit will also be going to Florida for A school A B H . Can't wait to see them all

Hello. Fellow Moms, My son is also on Ship 13 Div 018. We also got to talk to him last Saturday and received a letter on Wednesday. My son sent me a brown paper towel in the letter with a note on it telling me that they don't have any tissue so this was all he could find for me to wipe my tears. I was glad he has not lost his sense of humor. His name is Thomas he is 18 and also just graduated from High school in June. He is my youngest and I miss him terrible. He will be staying in GL for his A school. And guess what we now have less than 6 weeks until we will get to see our SR's. Hopefully we will get another call tomorrow.

Extra hugs to Oregonmom68 and sosfirst and all other Moms that have their youngest at RTC!  We have 3 boys as well and all of them have mentioned the possibility of joining the military.  Our son that is with your sons is 24 and has graduated from college and been away from home.  I truly can't imagine how it must feel having your youngest at training.  It is hard enough with our oldest!!

Love the sense of humor that your son has with the brown paper towel!  Our son is heading to Charleston, SC after RTC.  You mentioned 6 weeks until graduation, but that still seems like forever.  They have a lot ahead of them and together they can accomplish their goals!  With the Mama support of this group we can make it too!

Beautiful fall day here in Michigan.  Blessings!

Anyone get a call today?

Thanks hanging by the phone just waiting don't even want to vacuum lol he is from Micigan so he is loving this weather.

Oregonmom68: My son is not married. It looks like orkymom is from Michigan too. Maybe her son is who your son is referring?Where is your son off to after PIR? No call today.

My son is not married either he will go to Pensicola for A school A B H .  I hope you ladies are all hanging I n there we are thinking about Sarge meet and greet.

I am so glad to find other moms that have sons in my son Corey's ship and division(ship13,Division18)! My son is also staying at Great Lakes for"A" school. Our family is very excited for PIR November 22,provided all goes well!

My son is also on the same Ship and Div.  I am sad that it has been so long since he has been able to call, I think the 18th was the last I heard from him.  Thank goodness for the letters I get on Wednesday.

My son just turned 21 a month before he left for boot camp.

I didn't realize we were allowed to send Calling cards and pictures...I have been so reluctant to send anything but letters and cards in fear of getting him teased or worse yet in trouble.

Are you going to graduation?

Hello, Just got another call from my SR. He sounded a little tired but said it was going good. Ship 013 Div 018. He did say that they have had to make their bed a lot. He was excited about the PT that they did said that it felt good to work out. He also said that they had received some letters and they think they will be able to call again next Saturday. I miss him so much but so very proud.

Me too tired but all is ok.
