Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 169 and 170.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

He should have the weekend unless he has a watch during that time, we are GL A school too.

My son is same ship/division, but will attend A school in Pensacola.  I have read that they get to go out on liberty after graduation until about 7pm, and then are supposed to leave out the next day to their school.

Hi looking forward to meeting you also.  My son is on Ship 13 DIV 169 &  wrote and said we may spend the weekend with him, however he must report back to his ship every night by 8:00PM.

Hello all, just wanted to say be stalking your mailboxes. I got the first personal letter today and I saw someone say they got mail yesterday. So exciting, reestablishing some form of communication is so incredibly stress relieving. Good luck to all of you on a great mailbox find today or very soon!

Thank you!  Cannot wait to get a personal letter from my son thanks for the heads up!.....I really appreciate the info on the weekend too.

Yes!  We got ours yesterday too...  Very exciting! :)

My boyfriend is on Ship 13 Div 169! He has A school in Pensacola, FL! I got my first personal letter today! It was great!

Awesome! We got our first letter from our son yesterday and he will be attending school in Pensacola as well. He is Division 170.

Hello everyone!  My son is on this ship, division 170. We are counting down the days to PIR! We booked at The Homewood Suites - they have reasonable rates with free breakfast, and they also have 2-Bedroom/2-Bathroom suites available. They are about 12 miles from the base.

Hi everyone! I have some catching up to do. I have been away since Tuesday, but I also received a letter from my SR on tuesday. He's a little homesick but doing good and sounded positive. He has passed his swim test thinks he past his dep test and said he thought he would pass some other test PT? He has head duty LOL (bathroom). He said it was a lot harder than he thought it would be, but he could handle it. It was so nice to hear from him and see his handwriting. Waiting on the next call or letter. I'm so happy to see most all have received letters and phone calls. Looking forward to PIR

ProudNavyMomma = Mine is also EM

Awesome! Was your SR staying in GL for A School?
