Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 313 AND 314

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

G.R.I.T.S.: not too sure exactly if they can only call on weekends. I think they can make a call when their RDC permits them...
Good morning.

Has anyone in DIV 313 or DIV 314 received a call yet or a letter from boot camp :(  I can feel it.....this is our week :)

I haven't gotten anything but my form letter. I have worn a grove in the driveway going back and forth to the mailbox with cell phone in tow. Nothing yet. Praying for a letter and or a call this week as well.

My SR. Is in DIV 314. I keep praying for a call or a letter from him this week. He arrived on 7/27
Div 313 calling!!! Just talked to my son.... Wonderful to hear his voice finally!

I did get my son's first personal letter yesterday (Wednesday) - DIV 313.  He wrote it on Sunday and stated that he hadn't received any of our mail yet.  We have been mailing letters like crazy and so has his girlfriend, so that bothers me.  Surely since Monday he has been getting it.  Breaks my heart if others have been getting mail and not him.  He sounded good. Only complaint so far was the ice cold showers.  Mentioned doing well on his first PFA base test.  Said food is good and the RDS's in DVI 313 were the best.  Although they yell- a lot- he said they actually do make it a point to try to make it so that they forget where they are some of the time.  He thinks they got lucky and have the best 3 RDS's at Great Lakes :)  I slept so good last night after reading his letter.  Hoping for a phone call very soon so I can hear his voice. I am so proud of him and so glad he sounded good.  His girlfriend got a letter also though, but he told her that he was homesick and wanted his "mommy"!!

Kory&Joshuasmom:  Good morning.  I am so happy you received a letter from your SR and he sounds like he's doing great.  Still hoping to get a letter today from my son.  Next will be a phone call from your SR.  Love the part about him wanting his mommy...Take care and have a nice day.

We received out first letter yesterday. Mine said the same thing about the RDC's. Said it was no where as near as bad as he thought it was going to be. He sounds good but still misses everyone.

Good morning. I received our SR's letter yesterday, too. He sounds really good and said that their division is strong. He's made friends, and he said of course in every group there's the smart/elite ones, serious ones and the clowns... Food he said is better when he adds salt and pepper. He believes in his division and he thinks they're going to do great..
Makes me feel so good to hear other positive comments about our SRs' Division! Only 5 Fridays left Moms!! I so hope we get a call this weekend. Cannot wait to hear my Sons voice. Hope he's received our mail!
Hi everyone. My husband is in ship 13 DIVE 314. I've recieved the form letter. Graduation on the 18 of September. I had a couple of questions. Any suggestions on what hotels to get? And are we allowed to take a gift inside or would that have to wait until later. I also thought they were allowed to take their phones to "A" school. I was planning to taking my husband his phone so he can take it with him. Also, does anyone know how I can get my military ID? Do I need anything from him? Should I just wait? Anything will help! Thank you!
Good morning Mary. For the hotel, you can call Navy Lodge in Great Lakea IL 847-689-1485. When u call them, talk to front desk to check availability and then they'll transfer you to reservations. In regards to the gifts and military ID, you might want to post that question on the main page of PIR 9/18/15, so the veteran moms can see it and respond. Take care.
