Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 019 and 020

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We booked our rooms at the Ramada Inn....there are 12 of us traveling up to PIR the Ramada offered a room with three (yes I said 3) Queen size beds traveling with other children this will be great for us.... Spread us out a little!!

Morning Kory's mom

My understanding is that if they are attending A school at great lakes they have liberty for the weekend. If they are flying out of state to anywhere else they typicall leave on sat. and only have liberty on Friday after graduation as long as they are not schedule to work (on watch) which some will be.

I booked Thur - Sat. at the Navy Lodge. Our flight is for 7pm so that we can wait at the airport with my son until he leaves. I'll take whatever time I can with him. Looking forward to meeting you. Good luck

thank you! I was afraid of that lol.

She is flying to San Antonio for her A school. Just in case I booked our hotel Thur-Sun. We are driving from New York, its an 11 hour drive and we are bringing all her siblings. She is the oldest of 5 and they all miss her! Can't wait!!

Looking forward to meeting you as well

Take care

Tab (Kory's Mom) my daughter is also flying to San Antonio for A school!

Oh good! Im glad she'll know someone from her group. What is she going for? Isit all the same in San Antonio??

Good morning mamas!!!!  I'm so excited about my SR's PIR and so happy to have met ya'll!  Thank god for my son's gf too!  She was able to get the info from my ex and I sent off about half a dozen letters to him yesterday.  Over the weekend she and I booked our flights and last night my oldest son said he may try to fly up and go with us too.  I REALLY hope the SRs that are staying in GL for A-School will get liberty over the weekend after PIR.  If not, I guess I'll just have to entertain myself until Sunday when I fly back home.

Good Morning Mom's!

I am still doing my research, but plan to stay at the La Quinta a little further away. I am thinking to fly in Wed. eve (Southwest into Midway) renting a car so we have the day Thursday to get familiar and go to Sarges Meet & Greet Thurs. evening.

Looking forward to meeting you!

You might also look into flying into Milwaukee.  I booked my flight on Sunday and found it to be MUCH cheaper.  Rental cars look cheaper as well and it's about as far away as the Chicago area airports.

Thank you!

Hello all!  I just booked my suite at La Quinta Inn and got a great deal for "Navy friends and family"!  I'm checking in on Thurs and out on Sun and the total price for a suite was only $257!  The suites have either a king sized bed plus a sofa sleeper or two double beds and a sofa sleeper for the same price.  Just make sure you mention that you're there for your SR!  Their number is: 847-317-7300

I just booked this hotel too. I was torn between this and the navy lodge. This one has an indoor pool, navy lodge does not. We have 3 little kids coming so we thought this would be best. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

My Daughter is On Ship 14 Div 019!! I'm so proud of her and the rest of our SRs!!
