OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

I got a call from my son tonight also. I was so happy to hear from him, wasn't expecting it! I hope everyone else is starting to receive calls and letters. I got to talk to him for 5 minutes also. He said everyone is doing good!!

My son is ship 14 div 074 I got my first letter on Sat and my second phone call last night at about 8:30 pm. So hang in there moms I'm sure you will hear something soon! My son told me that he had received my first letter and that the drill sergeants only open packages so he received the pics I sent with no problem. I was excited to hear that because I also sent a Christmas card with a book of stamps wrapped as a Christmas gift inside! I was excited again when he requested that I send stamps! Lol he also asked for preprinted mailing labels... ill have to get another letter out to him! :-D

Our sons are on the same ship and division! Our son has even said in his letters they are great friends and bunk mates! We too have mailed stamps and photos! He's getting the pictures for Christmas. During his call this evening he said he hadn't received them yet. Has your son? Nice to meet a mom who's son is with ours!

Hi everyone. My son is Ship 14, Div 073.
I got a call from him last night. He sounds exhausted and down. I cried when I got off the phone with him. It's so hard not to be able to give him a tight hug and tell him it will all be ok.
I write him a letter everyday.

Hi everyone, my son is ship 14 Div 074 I got my second call yesterday around 8:30 p.m. but was not home and he spoke with my mother, he is doing ok he wanted to know if we miss him over here, he told her he has dinner at 6:00 and its like a buffet that they can get everything that can fit in the tray. He mentioned that the next call would be this coming Friday.

I received my second call on Sunday. I was so happy to hear from him. Had a really bad connection though, so it was difficult to hear him. He sounded so much better than last time. He was happy to be off light duty. (had a small reaction to shots) He was a little sad that he had only received a few letters compared to most of the other recruits. I told him not to let that get him down as he is older with a rather small number of family and friends. He said his favorite part was all the PT. Boy did that make me laugh. I always assumed that was the worse part. hahaha
I also received a letter Saturday.

Received my 3rd call today. Thanks to the moms that gave the heads up. I was on the lookout. lol I was again very happy to hear from him. They were suppose to be allowed 15min but only got 7 when the RDC showed up. The 7 minutes were worth it. I hope all of you got calls too.

Just got a call from our SR! He is doing so much better! He talked to his precious sweetheart and even had time to talk with his Dad and I. Everyone be strong! Were almost there!

talked to my son tonite also :) we are so blessed. this division has gotten three phone calls, that is awesome and i am so grateful. he sounded so good tonite also and mentioned that he loves the guys in his division. :) Yes, Wes Mom , not that i am counting the days but we are going to have our arms around our new sailors necks in about 26 1/2 days!!! YEAH!!!!

Jamie, so glad you heard from your son again...my daughter-in-law got a call from our SR on Christmas Eve with the news that he's a Chief Petty Officer! Wow. I couldn't be prouder. I think he said some of their letters from home had been held up (or maybe their letters) due to IT. Hope that's all over now. We made it through Christmas Navy Moms!!! Counting the days 'til PIR. :-))
