Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 249 and 250

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Aww....jackrussellmom I think I'd be the same way if I didn't have a husband to keep reminding me he's gonna be ok. It breaks my heart that he might not be home for a long time. Maybe at Christmas but that's not certain.
I'll be praying for Anthony and Jacob!! hang in there we can do this!!

I think it's so great that we're able to do this.  I feel your pain...but like you said, it does get a little better every day, but I will feel whole again when i'm able to see and talk to him!!  I think the boys will think it's pretty cool that we are all supporting each other out here while they're supporting each other in there!  Have a good Thursday...I keep searching the pictures on the Navy FB page :)   It would be so awesome to get a glimpse of them!

MissingMyKing did they post new pictures? I'm at work and have filtered internet nor can I have my cellphone on me. I'm surprised I have access to this site! LOL! :)

Not yet!  been checking all day... I heard they take pics of new recruits on Thursday, but not sure if that's true!  I'll keep looking though!

Hi rutie8869! It's so good to know the mom's of the sons around my own. What is your son going to A school for?

Close. My son is in division 249. He's a Nuke and will be headed to Charleston after PIR.

My son is in 249 as well and will also be a Nuke!  :-)  Maybe they know each other.

I'm still waiting for a letter.  He was able to call on 6/13.  Have you received letters yet?

Hi Mary, I'm sure they do. I haven't gotten any letters yet. My son called on 6/13 and 6/21. He said that the recruit in charge of mail was not doing such a good job so they have been unable to mail anything out but they are receiving mail. Are you going to PIR?

Yes, I'll be there.  (that's grad, right?)  I didn't get a call on the 21st.  I wish I knew all the rules.  It's hard to have complete separation!  I've been writing a lot so hopefully he's getting letters consistently.  Thanks for the response!  It helps to know others aren't getting mail either.  I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong.

Yes, PIR is Pass in Review or graduation. I read below that your son is sick. I'm sorry about that. Mine had some complications from his wisdom teeth removal and he has some kind of respitory crud. He said everyone is sick. He loves it though. We will be at PIR too. We only live about an hour away from Great Lakes. That's great now but getting to South Carolina when he's in A school will be more difficult.

Finally got his letters today!!  There were seven envelopes.  I was thrilled to hear from him.  But so worried at the same time...he has been sick for two weeks.  Bad cough, vomiting during PT, etc.  Anyway...I hope you get your letters today too!  He was on bed rest and missed the 6/21 phone call privileges.

My sons friend is going to Nuke school too. I told his mom about this site. Not sure if she's logged in yet.
