While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Hello! My step son is in Div 324 Ship 14. We got a letter from him yesterday and are so proud of him!! Seems to be doing good. Can't wait for PIR, we have already made our arrangements.

Hello DIV 323 and 324 I got a call on Thursday late afternoon. My son sounded sick, said they all were given some kind of pills that he thought were to make them sick. I thought that sounded crazy but does anyone know anything about this? I think they are all so tired that they are susceptible to getting sick from whatever bug might be floating around. My son says everyone avoids going to medical if they can. Other than the cough and such, he sounded good. He says the "shock" has worn off and is used to being yelled and cussed at. Fewer sailors are talking when they should be sleeping and that there is more of a routine now. I was glad to hear the adjustment.

My son is div 324 and he said the same thing. Its to build up their immune system. I have an older son that deployed several times in a different branch of service and i remember him getting pills also.

Hi LYF, I'm sorry your son sounded sick. It's really hard to hear that in their voices and not be able to fix it. You know...that doesn't sound crazy...maybe it was an antibiotic or some kind of Flu prevention (like a flu shot, but in pill form) that some poeple had a reaction to. My daughter said she hasn't had to go to medical yet, but she said A LOT of ladies have. She said they have already had 10 ladies either quit or get kicked out for being in medical too much. My daughter is super tired. I know that when I get tired, I feel sick...
Hi Jozi, Thanks for the response. I am so glad your BF is doing well. :)
I feel better today after talking to her father (active duty Navy) and he assured me that the moment she marches through those doors at PIR- the misery will all be replaced with pride and a new confidence we have never seen. Her father is the Chief Recruiter for the NW and he told me that every mom gets the "ONE" phone call from their child in boot camp- and that was mine. That is usually the turning point...when they are at their lowest, the environment changes and they will start to pull together as a unit and start working together. The more they work together the less horrible names they get called. Its a process and it has worked for many years. It's tough trusting the process...and mostly I just hate hearing my daughter cry. (Dont tell her I told you she cried...)
So I was racking my brain trying to think of the perfect gift and I am going to start her first Pandora Bracelet. Check out this charm. I spoke to an experienced Navy mom and she said we can't give them gifts to take with them back to boot camp, but we can give them a small gift when we drop them off at the airport. My daughter is going to Florida.

Has anyone heard from ship 14 div 324 this week. Today is 8/3. I was wondering what the sailors may be working on at this time. I did not get a call or letter since Thur 7/25.

My son is in DIV 323 Ship 14. I have not heard from since 7/13! No phone calls or letters yet. He was sick with a cold at that time but he said he was getting better. I am worried that I haven't heard from him. Anyone else that hasn't heard from their SR in this division?
