Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 335 and 336

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Glad to have found this page!  My son is on ship 14 Div 336 and I am so proud of him!  Making plans for PIR on Sept. 6th and looking forward to seeing my firstborn!

High everyone!!!  Has anyone made hotel arrangements yet?

Yes. We are staying at the Navy Lodge for $66 per night for a room with 2 beds. I gave them my SR's name when I registered. Very nice people to work with.

Hello Moms,

I just joined this site, and have been reading all of your posts for a few days. My SR secretly enlisted right after turning 18, and went to bc on 7/9 without saying good bye to friends and family. Based on that date, her PIR should be 9/6 unless she is held back. It's a long story, but she disowned her entire family and friends after quarreling with her parents over her 21 year old boyfriend. I have not received any calls, the box, the form letter or any mail. :(  I am sure she sent all to her boyfriend. She should not have joined because of her medical history, and saying I am "worried sick" is an understatement! I am petrified and my heart is breaking! While her brothers, father, cousins, etc. are hurt and angry, I have been crying so much that I have actually gotten wrinkles. I just start crying no matter where I am. I have multiple nightmares every night and get little sleep, and my doctor had to prescribe additional blood pressure medication for me. I don't know what ship or division she is in, but may have narrowed it down to Ship 14 Div 335/336, Ship 12 Div 331/332, Ship 13 Div 333/334 or Ship 3 Div 337/338. I have been writing her, but don't know the address. I would be forever grateful if you could ask your SR if they know my daughter, and how she is handling bc. Not knowing what is happening to her is killing me. Her name is AlinaMari from Redlands, CA, pronounced AlinaMarie and she usually goes by Alina. Please don't share the personal details with your SR so they don't get back to my SR. She is, obviously already angry at her family.

Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart!!!. I will keep your SRs in my prayers along with my own.

did you every find her??

No., and still not calls or mail.

I got a letter (ship 14 div 335) and it was a good one this week! Oh thank the Lord.  My husband (her stepdad) has a birthday this weekend and she remembered and put a separate letter in for him.  He has been the dad in her life since she was 8, and he taught her so many things.  He's a tough blue collar guy and he tried for years to toughen up my little fru-fru girly girl.    In her letter to him she says "I tell so many stories from home and you're in a lot of them. I wish I could run up to you and tell you every time I do something tough!"  Brought my tough guy to tears with that letter.

Judging by the topics, it's in response to letters I sent way back when, so their mail is clearly slow.  She didn't date her letter, but she wrote "4-1 Day" at the top.  Which now confuses the heck out of me because on the FB site we'd kind of figured out by other letters that tomorrow would be their 4-1 day.  This would have been written last weekend.

She passed her swim test! 15 foot drop, 500 yard swim, and prone float (while being kicked by others who were freaking out), & coverall inflate while praying it would work. Still working on the other PFA's and she said her pushups still suck. But she's getting stronger.

She said she still wakes up sometimes wondering where she is, but sleeps pretty well once she gets past Watch and "all the talking girls".  That's all she mentioned about that.  On the FB page, someone in our division got a letter saying that people were getting ASMO'd for not following orders and for repeatedly failing tests.  One female got sent all the way back to P-days.  Scared the heck out of me, but she said nothing about anyone getting asmo'd or anything.  No real details at all about what they are doing, which is typical her.

Anyone else hear anything?

Sharla:  So happy for you.  Time to take a deep breath and relax a little.  : )  My SR didn't have much to say.  We got 2 very short letters from him.  He mentioned he is now on the watch rotation which doesn't thrill him.  Doesn't everyone have to do it? Oh well, he isn't much of a letter writer and he did say that he was writing other letters.  I know that he writes to his girlfriend and his cousin has also gotten one.  I am just very frustrated because I want to know stuff and I want to know it right NOW, dang it!!  He has not answered one single question that I have asked him or sent back a questionnaire (I sent 2 of them).  I am just going to write down the things I think we need to know and ask him when he calls.

I worry too much but he is such a loner.  He had just one good friend in high school and one that had already graduated.  I hope he is not withdrawn completely and ignoring everyone.  aahh!!  Oh well, I will just keep on praying. Only 3 more Fridays after tomorrow and we get to see them again!!  I will keep praying for your daughter.

And for a phone call.

Oregon Mom, I feel you!!!  She puts random info in there but gives me no details. Drives me crazy.  LOL.  This letter actually answered questions I'd sent to her, but then nothing on the things I'd asked her since then.  It's so frustrating...especially when you are used to being on top of everything.  Hang in there....we will get through this!  We're halfway there!

My daughter mentioned a friend in her unit named Alicia?? anyone claiming her??

I think that might be pennyaires daughter?
